I've come across several entries completely devoid of content -- just a title and the "I know this" data entry button. A: Would it be helpful to create a listing of these entries? B: Do empty or dummy entries get hidden or should they be marked so the locust-, er, contributors can swarm them?

Edit: Consider the challenge taken. Laughing

For empty anime titles: those were duplicated titles but before they were reported users had added them to their MyAnime, and the system would refuse staff deleting them directly. The system has been upgraded several times and those empty titles can be now dealt with (just removed three before typing this post).

For empty person's names: those were duplicated as well, but the situation is different from anime titles. Back when I was first recruited, I tend to merge all credits of John Doe when I found them under an incorrectly spelled "Jon Doe." However, this would create a big problem that should a Jon Doe participate in anime production one day, the system would not allow me to submit a separate Jon Doe anymore. Thus nowadays credits of John Doe but entered under Jon Doe would be moved manually just in case there will be a Jon Doe working as anime staff in the future.

Next is Manga (but I'll do that, er, Friday or Saturday).

Wow, none of these matches what I said in my previous post; thanks a lot for digging them up. With the exception of Greed (a similar case had been discussed here), all others have very little info available. Looks like a busy Friday night aheadBuzy = sitting at home in front of computer, spending hours finding info for some '80 anime.

I'm just curious what would be an example of what you were looking for so I have additional criteria. For Greed, is there is a way to make one entry point at another? That would seem to be the obvious solution to dual-format shows (until the encyclopedia could handle having more than one format per entry).

Off-topic: I didn't see anything in the FAQs about entering character names in Japanese that can't be fully translated (I use J-Talk and sometimes it fails me): better to have the untranslated name in the entry or not?

While this applies only to limited cases, often the names of characters who originate from hentai games can be extracted from (link SFW, but secondary links are not) Getchu.com or the game company's official site, as both frequently provide furigana.

I'm not sure I'm crazy enough to take on People: 87k names compared to ~9k anime & manga titles.
