Creative thinking [alternate anime endings?]

Alright, since I have heard the forums are dying a bit I will try to liven it up a bit. For starters what would you do to give your Anime the ending that you think would be the best. or what would you add to make the ending better remember to incude spoiler caps if you put any spoilers in.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you saying how you'd change the ending of a preexisting anime...? Or how you'd end your own?

Heh, heh. You don't have to take my comments so seriously Anime catgrin + sweatdrop.

Anyway, as to your topic, there is only one ending I really like (Bebop's), a few that are OK (X (TV) and RahXephon), and some that just plain stink (Hellsing, Kenshin, Love Hina, Ranma, Witch Hunter Robin, and Escaflowne).

Part of the problem is a lot of anime titles don't go by the manga, so that should be obvious in itself as to what the solution is. I don't know why companies are always in such a hurry to produce some of these titles, but maybe if they'd slow it down a little, we might get better results.

And plus, the production world of anime is a mystery to me, and making my own ending seems a little defacing to the original work, so I think I'll hold off on that for now.

If you're talking about Kenshin in particular, which I think you are, then I would say someone needs to dish out the money to put Jinchuu in OAV format (because TV would probably cost more). I haven't read it yet, but to anyone that has, would 13 episodes be enough? Personally, I wouldn't mind a 26 episode TV run, but that ain't happening Rolling Eyes.

I don't think this is a better ending but I was one I toyed with when I tried to think of an ending for X the manga, different from the series or movie. I call it the lovers option.
My turning point is when Arashispoiler[having defected to the Dragons of Earth tries to kill Kamui but Sorata prevents it.] In my version Sorata is delayed. Kamuispoiler[ because he is holding back, is fatally wounded by Arashi. ]
Arashi, holding both her sword and Kamui's Shinkansen turns on Fuma, with the combined power drives Fuma off and then flees herself.
Sorata arrives just in time to hold the Dying Kamui in his arms. Kamui, though dying has awakened and passes the same message to Fuma that he did in person in the Anime.
This result throws both sides into confusion, has the prophecy been changed? On one hand, Kamui is dead but there is still one (Sorata) or maybe two (Arashi?) Dragons of Heaven and their barriers standing. Both sides take a little time trying to figure it out what the heck just happened.
Finally, a guilt racked Arashi, in possesion of Kamui's Shinkasen and hiding on her own, decides she must take Kamui's place. Fuma decides he just needs to finish the remaining Dragons of Heaven to win. These two meet at Tokyo Tower. They fight and Arashi, no longer enraged, is badly outclassed. As Fuma is about to dispense the final blow, Sorata appears, takes the fatal blow and dispenses Kamui's final message to Fuma, spoiler[thus both serving Kamui and dieing for the woman he loves. Also, in a sense, Kamui's power is presant at the final battle, just not as expected.] The series ends pretty much as it as it ended in the anime, save that instead of spoiler[Subaru and Fuma on the Tower, ] we have Fuma and a tear drenched Arashi holding the dead Sorata.
If you want a really happy ending Sorata spoiler[could "die" in the sense his heart stops beating and then is revived.]

Is this the type of thing you had in mind?
