GE999 and Project A-Ko where do i preorder?
So are the 999 movies going to have a new dub i thought one of the articles on this site said the audio for the viz ones doesn't exist .
Well new anime might die out but the re-releasing of existing works shall not i guess.

Awsome! I dont have A-Ko yet, so I'll be getting that. Hopefully they'll pick up the sequels eventually too.
I'm not sure about Galaxy Express. I might rent them first.

If thats true, and the audio no longer exists, they'll most likely just be subtitled. As much as I would like them dubbed, I dont think creating new dubs for such old movies would be very profitable.

A dub for G999 is doubtful.

I still haven't finished the damn GE 999 show yet. [100 eps to go *sigh*] I might get the first movie, though, 'cus I remember digging that one when I was a kid. Not really impressed by the sequel, though. If they ever get the third one, I might give it a shot. But man, if that company can get those, why the eff can't Voyager give us good transfers of the Yamato movies and the subbed version of the show, dammit?!

That is some pretty awesome stuff right there. Will it be CPM's old transfer for Project A-ko? With all the stuff Justin's said in the past, it seems like that's pretty much the only thing left on earth that's usable. How about the other OVAs? I'd think only the first movie is really desirable, and the last OVA was pretty worthless.
As for the GE999 movies, needs the BluRay. Those movies are stupendous. I think the remasters used a lot of filtering, but it's probably still better than a DVD release in the end.
I hope the re-licensing of older materials picks up even more, they're pretty much the only things I'd like to spend money on anymore.

Ugh, Princess Blade, should never have been relicensed.
I haven't seen the Aquarian Age live action movie though and am kinda interested in that.

Really tempted to re-pick up Project A-KO.
Wonder if they will re-release the awesome soundtrack (which I still have).

Some good news! I already have A-Ko, so I won't be getting that, but it's nice to hear it'll be in print again (it's not a favourite of mine, but I did like it). I have been meaning to watch the GE999 movies for ages now, so I'm overjoyed to hear they'll be coming out on DVD. I hope they equal Metropolis (which is one of the best movies I've ever seen) and are much, much, much better than X/1999: The Movie (which was beautiful to look at and had a decent score but was a big mess in all other respects, the TV series is far superior). I have no interest in the live action movies, has anyone license-rescued Last Quarter yet? Because if not, that's something live action and anime/manga related I'd actually like to see.

I liked the old dub of GE999, so I hope they include that on the DVD. I'd gladly donate my lovingly taken care of VHSes to make that a reality if necessary.

Eeee! Galaxy Express 999? Discotek, I love you!!
A year or two ago, I was able to get the "Joey Hannakannabobbakananna Smith" version of the first movie, thinking that it would be the closest I'd ever get to seeing GE999. Now, between the TV show streaming on ANN and the movies getting picked up, I am such a happy camper!
