If it was a website that he created himself I don't think there would be a problem.

The blog site he was using was Ameblo, which is like livejournal or blogspot. He probably broke some antiporn/nudity terms of use and that's what got him arrested.

I'm sorry to hear this, he made a great Ivankov...spoiler[One Piece was just about to get back to the main fight! Ivankov does have a much smaller part after this point, just one of many fighting now instead of a lead...]

Japan has some strange censorship when I read about it. I'm at work so I can't access Kotaku. I remember reading on Kotaku about how Left 4 Dead (both 1 and 2) cover got censored in Japan because of the finger getting cut off. So it's OK for Elfien Lied to show a character fingers getting cutting off but it's not OK for Left 4 dead cover picture to have finger being cut off. Japan has a strict taboo for graphic violence but they make a lot of exception like Takeshi Miike's film. Japan and US I used to thought had cultural differences when it comes to sex. But now it turns out to be almost the same, Japanese adult entertainment have blurs over the private part (the same thing can be apply for hentai).

I like to add some of our T-rated game do become AO-rating game in Japan (Z-rating from CERO) like Infamous (don't ask how it got a adult rating), and Matrix: Path of Neo got AO rating in Japan. I don't know how CERO work or how they operate and I don't understand how Infamous and Matrix: Path of Neo got Adult rating in Japan. Maybe it's similar to how some of the Persona series got M-rating in US while in Japan it got a teen rating (B rating from CERO).

A grown man that not only is 56 is arrested for "indecent" exposure on his blog? That is exceptionally stupid.

It's not like he was showing it minors. I mean, I am a guy and I there is no way I'd ever want to see the pictures, but I still think that is stupid.

That is the problem with people these days, they just don't know how to mind their own damn business.
