hello. new member here!

Could anyone tell me if any of the following titles shows a young (as in 16 or less) character naked at some point? Or which doesn't.

Gravion (1 and 2), Sakura Wars, Venus Versus Virus, and Vandread (1, 2, and OVA).

thanks a lot!

LOL! I was reported. I'll make it as clear as daylight. I haven't imported any R1 DVDs since the law against virtual child porn became so clear over here, and the titles above (which I have never seen, and along with others I have seen a bit, and new releases I have watched entirely) are currently in my wish list, just waiting for confirmation (and since it's a large order customs will most likely stop it, but chances are little they'll give it an actual inspection). So, yes, perhaps a little too cautious, but hey, freedom of speech ain't so popular over here.

But thanks for considering me a pedophile. That makes my day a little brighter.

__

Edit: and something I'm just curious about.

I know what license rescue means, but I don't know how it works. Does anyone...? Do they have to negotiate with whatever remains of the older licensees, or do they go directly to the Japanese and get it cheaper than it originally was... or do the Japanese actually try to milk it as much as they can?

Vandread should be "safe", by your definition. Haven't watched any of the rest, so no help there.

Hi,
I have been looking high and low for "Cnderella Monogatari" DVDs (English Speaking) - does anyone know where to get these from? Sad
Appreciate your reply. Susan

I see. Thanks for the help. I already knew that the first Gravion was released over here, so the main question was its sequel, since the encyclopedia lists its objectionable content as intense, whereas in the prequel it's just significant. The one I was really worried about is Venus Versus Virus, since the characters look rather young and it's a series I have never heard about. Absolutely no idea why I bought it and I kind of regret it now.
But I suppose there should be no need to care about as long as it's not listed as 18+ in the US.

Probably you should have posted the message on the General Questions thread of the Anime forum (or perhaps on the Retail forum).
As to Cinderella Monogatari, you mean this anime?

R2 DVDs of Cinderella Monogatari were released in Japan, but it seems that they are out of stock now, and probably they don't have English sub/dub.
There are people who sell the Cinderella Monogatari R2 DVDs at the Amazon Japan Marketplace, though.

Licenses expire after a certain number of years and needs to be renewed otherwise the company loses it. How long depends on the contract that the domestic company has with the Japanese license holder. If a title is rescued it means one of three things.

A) The company that formerly held it let the license expire without renewing it because they no longer wanted it and another company bought it from the Japanese license holder again.

B) The former company went bankrupt and thus lost any rights or ability to distribute said title and could thus nullifying their contract and a new company picked it up the now free title from the Japanese license holder.

C) A company bought the show but found itself with with no means to distribute it so it struck it deal with another domestic company to sell it's wares for it.

Those are usually how the situation arises.

Hello, new member here,

Could you please help me identify a hentai from a video I watched 1-2 year(s) ago?

All I remember is the intro featuring a woman who had sex with a (lubricated) statue. I think it was about demon possession or something like that. It's also curious because it actually had a real intro.

Thank you in advance.

I really need help on identifying this old anime. I don't really have a picture about but I do have a description. It's an old anime probably made in the 1980's or early 90's. The story is about a group of demihumans(didn't know the right word for it but they're a cross between man and an animal like a half dog half human) ordered by a goddess(I think) to go on a quest to save they're world(it was really a long time ago so I don't quite remember their goal) and they all had to go to different worlds and each of those worlds contain different stories from the old story books and fairytales(like the 3 little pigs, the turtle and the rabbit, and etc.). In each of those worlds the plot of the story in that respective world was messed up and they had to correct it(like the 3 little pigs were being attacked by the big bad wolf riding a huge super robot and they fought back with a super robot of their own). I also remember that the main protagonist was half mouse and half human and wielded a beam saber and is also the leader of their group, the others were a cross between other animals and they their own unique weapon or ability(like the tiger guy who used his sunglasses to beef up and the dog guy who had a bone that could stretch to any length and can become a staff) and they rode a giant robot pegasus as their ship to travel between worlds. And the antagonists were 3 cat girls wearing really revealing clothes and the main antagonist was some kind of ancient evil cat spirit. I remembered that as the plot advanced each of the main characters got killed until the only ones remaining were the main protagist(the mouse guy), the rabbit girl(one of the protagonists) and one of the 3 cat girls(who had a change of heart in the end) againts the final boss(evil cat spirirt). And when all seemed lost, all of their comrades who got kill got revived by the goddess in order to aid them in defeating the main antagonist. That's all I can remember and I know it's kinda hilarious but please don't laugh, It's the only thing I could do in order for someone to identify it as I already forgot it's title and the name of the characters. This show was really fun to watch in my childhood and I had a lot of fun memories watching it and that's why I really just wanted to know it's name. If someone could help, I'd be really grateful.

egoist: I'm pretty sure all but the virus one is safe. Sakura Wars was back in the 90's so fan service then isn't what it is now and I don't think there is any fan service in that series anyways. Gravion has fan service but nothing loli and Vandread just sounds like a dirty series but is surprisingly tame compared to others.

And ha, you got reported. Shame on you. Also I've never seen Venus Versus Virus so I don't know about that one but the encyclopedia entry says nudity so there you go.

Also, gcav. That show sounds ridiculously awesome.

When I was in high school, a friend of mine had this crazy anime movie playing in the background when we were messed up. I only caught the ending, and I been wanting to watch the rest for a long time. All I remember is that it end with a monster hugging a girl, presumably his girlfriend. I'm assuming the film was about a guy who lost some inner struggle and turned into a demon. This was in 2003, before fansubs were as accessible as they are now, so I'm pretty sure it was an R1 release. And I'm also confident that it was either a movie or an OVA. Thanks.

I don't suppose you were "messed up" enough to confuse Disney's Beauty and the Beast for anime? That is the only thing that comes to mind right now.

Ha! That is strong possibility, but I'm 90% sure it was anime. Thanks for the laugh though.

EDIT: I have a strong feeling that it's Twilight of the Dark Master because all of his anime was from Manga and Urban Vision, and after reading...
Quote:
In this anime gore-fest, survivors of an ancient race of evil Demons and a noble Guardian return to Earth in 2089 to continue their epic battle, leaving a vulnerable human race in the cross fire. The powerful Demon Master hatches a diabolical scheme to transform pharmaceutical researcher Eiji into a crazed monster, using him as a pawn to terrorize the populace. Can his fiance Shizuka -- with help from the Guardian -- stop the mutant Eiji?

...I think I may have finally found it. NETFLIX, SEND IT TO ME NOW!

It would be terribly ironic if it was Dark Master, because it would mean that the object of my desire all these year was directed by one of my least favorite anime directors--Akiyuki Shinbo.

I'm pretty sure the one at 2:15 is Corpse Princess/Shikabane Hime: Aka.
