Hideo NAKAMURA (中村秀雄, as reported by Shiroi Hane) is two persons one of which already exists under a different name:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 中村 秀雄 = Nakamura Hideo (animator) (2 EDICT readings, Shuuyuu & Hideo; ANN has 9 秀雄 readings, all "Hideo") 中村 秀雄 (2001) Alien Nine (special) : In-Between Animation (shirayuki) 中村 秀雄 (2003) Lupin III: Operation Return the Treasure (special) : 2nd Key Animation (livedoor wiki) 中村 秀雄 (2004) Howl's Moving Castle (movie) : In-Between Animation (JMDB) ________ (2005) (The) Law of Ueki (TV) : Key Animation (http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/ueki/, unusable; no good source found) 中村 秀雄 (2005) Lupin III: Angel Tactics (special) : Key Animation (livedoor wiki) 中村 秀雄 (2006) Buso Renkin (TV) : Key Animation (http://www.busourenkin.com/, unusable; better: livedoor wiki) 中村 秀雄 (2006) Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Not clear what you're asking here. Create a "Hideo Nakamura (seiyuu)" and set him as an alias of Shuusei Nakamura?

Yes, exactly (so that both kanji names of the seiyuu become contributable and still shown as one person).
I don't know the internals but I suspect you need two persons for the kanji names (thus the split) and then a merge of them to let them become one "person page". The mere setting of the birth name won't do that, apparently. |

Hmm, that still doesn't make sense. He was credited in those productions as 仲村 秀生, not 中村 秀男. So why were the credits entered under "Hideo Nakamura"? It would be incorrect to say that Shuusei Nakamura performed in those anime under the name of Hideo Nakamura.

I think I sort of understand what the OP is saying.
Many people, including the professional subbers, mistranslate Shusei's name as Hideo. For example, the ending credits on the US VHS release of Dancougar. People will then use this incorrect info and submit it to ANN and imdb, creating a non-existant "Hideo Nakamura" seiyu. Some sort of redirect to Shusei Nakamura could stop that from happening. |
