Well, dang!
I suppose it had to end at some point, but it's still kind of a bummer. On the plus side, it's good to know that they're not going to make up an ending off the top of their heads and are going to follow Arakawa's initial write-up. It's going to be interesting to see just how the whole thing ends; guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Kind of sad to see the series end, but the again it's better than going on and drowning itself in filler. Some other series should take note and just end already cough*Bleach*cough.

It's really gonna be sad that FMA is going to offically end but they say that "All good things must come to an end"
I really want to see how it ends :]
To me, its like FMA was part of my life ever since I found out about it when I was in 4th-5th Grade.
When it ends, its like a part of my life is gone
FMA Forever!

GOOD NEWS:
Brotherhood's ending will not be as crappy as the season one (maybe?)!
But as long as it is based on mangaka's prespective, I'm ok with it!!
Arakawa will never fail us!!!
BAD NEWS:
Another topnotch manga has ended... *sob
Now I don't have much resolve left to read manga if those best manga reached its ending... *sob

I had a feeling this would happen. If you are caught up with the manga from Japan it is pretty clear that it is at its end. With the anime so close to the manga now I would have expected this.

Its good to know that FMA Brotherhood won't make up its own ending and that it'll follow the manga all the way through. I've been worried for the past few months that was going to happen buts its relieving to hear it won't.

This is one of my two favorite action series right now! Both FMA and One Piece are amazingly epic in their current story arcs. One Piece shows no sign of ending any time soon, but it's blatantly obvious that FMA's finale is going to blow everyone's mind! Can't Wait!

I just hope and pray Ms. Arakawa will give us a happy ending. I loved the first series and thought that the ending was bittersweet, I JUST WANT MY HAPPY ENDING! It's going to be a bittersweet day in June when the final episode goes up on Funimation's website, I won't have any fun aimes to look forward to on Thursday, but I have the English dub to look forward to, but at least she's FINISHED! Unlike other mangaka, cough, cough Tite Kubo, cough, cough.

I applaud Arakawa, Bones, and anyone else involved in this decision.
FMA has been one of the greatest shounen manga ever, there is no need to keep draging the series on, this is a PERFECT time to end the manga, I hope the anime will show every detail that the manga will provide, without leaving anything out.
It's been an incredible run for FMA, it was never boring and it kept us entertained for all these years, I was thrilled when I heard that Bones would remake the anime to follow the manga, and now the end has finally arrived.
NOW, the million dollar question:
What will Arakawa do now??? (I hope she makes another manga series)

Probably sit on her butt? FMA sells hundreds of thousands of copies a year, which adds up to millions of dollars. And all those merchandise residuals she gets.

The funnier part is that the article writer doesn't know FMA is written by a woman.

I was wondering if this series was going to be ongoing like Bleach. But now that the manga is finally drawing a conclusion, and judging from what episode # is on Funimation Video Portal now, I'm guesstimating the Anime shouldn't be more than a hundred episodes. Knowing that makes me feel more confident in purchasing Funimation's DVD releases.

She already has another manga series going as we speak. Hero Tales. It's not as good as FMA, but it does get better as it progresses.
