Does anyone know of a good website to buy mp3s of Japanese music? I've know of iTunes and JapanFiles, but neither have any of the songs I'm looking for.

I would just import the CDs, but it's kind of expensive when I ussually only want one song off of each album.

If you can operate in Japanese, Bandai's dot-anime.com carries Lantis label and some other songs:
http://www.dot-anime.com/music/

I've also used http://listen.jp/newtype/ and http://dl.rakuten.co.jp/music/, however both of these have restrictions on non-Japanese credit cards. I was able to get around the Rakuten one by using American Express, and I was able to randomly get around the listen.jp one before by getting lucky with a MasterCard virtual number that went through for some reason.

(Note that the above sites are all WMA format w/DRM, usually encoded at 128kbps.)

iTunes Japan carries a fair amount of Lantis songs also. iTunes, too, blocks foreign cards (all iTunes stores in all regions do), though you can buy Japanese store gift cards from various online shops.

Bandai & Lantis announced they'll be putting their catalog on the North American iTunes store this summer.

Whoa this is relevant to my interests. Especially if DRM is removed, and if enough relavent booklet pages are in there as cover art. (No more shipping costs = win)

Link?

You can also try Gendou's Anime Music.
They have almost every song from an anime, you can request it, so long as it's not Inuyasha or something else that has giant copyright restrictions. It's free to sign up, and even if the little "DONATE" thing in the corner is blinking red, you can still download.

I recommend http://[This website is a known MP3 hosting website]/

They are updated up to the latest anime it also has the insert songs of some anime's...Though they don't have old anime music such as Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin...

CDJapan, you can find legitimate CDs there, you just have to know what you're looking for. AmazonMP3 has a few JRock and Jpop artists up there, but it's only the really popular stuff.

The prices of CDJapan's CDs aren't too bad, just save up some extra money.

eng.dlsite.com is an iTunes-like site for doujin creators, and has a number of doujin albums, including IOSYS: http://eng.dlsite.com/circle/profile/=/maker_id/RG06109.html

Though nothing in terms of pop music.
