OMFG!

Part of me is so happy.

Part of me wonders what it's going to be... but I'm still quite happy.

I hope your hopes won't come true. I want to see a follow up, badly. Actually, I'd scream like a fan girl if this is real(been practising "sugoi desu" at work specially for situations like these), and if this is a sequel.

Way to crush my hopes there Surprised

I though the ending was good, I don't see a need to ruin it.

Given that I'm a big fan of the series from Adult Swim, I'm happy there's more on one level...

...but on the other hand, the question on everyone's minds is:

Given how the series ended, what story can they *possibly* tell in another series?

.

Please God, please keep spoiler[Lelouch dead]

Please have it star none of the cast, I don't think I can take any more of the utter stupidity of the cast of Code Geass.

[Moderator: Edited for spoilers.]

Perhaps Lelouch was spoiler[still alive] and became a shepherd who used his "geass" to control them sheep by never letting them wander and become lost.

Or who knows. That's their job to find what to go for. But I'm definitely more interested in a sequel rather than a spin-off.

Honestly though...is anyone really surprised?

Anyway, this announcement is nice but tells us absolutely nothing about the nature of the project.

I'm personally hoping for some sort of alternate universe that doesn't conflict with what happened before. You know, like Gundam usually does. Still, I don't know what will happen.

In any event, there's not much to talk about until real details are revealed. Whatever hopes or prejudices are involved, there's no objective basis for anything at this point.

One word: HOW?

There's just no place to go after R2.

We are counting on a sequel or spin off. But this could be a retelling. Which would be interesting on its own. I give it a 1% chance.

Actually there are lots of speculation among fans that spoiler[Lelouch actually didn't die]. So a third season might not be so impossible.

I really hope this means more Code Geass anime.

Part of me thinks it's gonna be a movie. Most likely a retelling. Otherwise, there isn't really room for a sequel with the way things ended. As much as the story zigzagged in quality, the ending was very satisfying. There isn't anything to add.

If it is a series, it could be an alternate universe. Didn't the series kind of hint at the existence of other universes? I could be remembering that wrong. I also seem to remember (also, possibly incorrectly) Sunrise saying they would like to turn Geass into a Gundam-like franchise, which I would assume entails alternate universe stories.

I probably won't be very interested if they start rewriting what happened in the first two seasons by bringing people back from the dead, etc. They need to do more than simply return to the old stomping grounds no matter how inviting and fittingly indulgent that may be for the fans of the first 2 seasons I'd like to see something new. Regardless, more Geass is awesome.

More Geass is....good I guess. Wasn't expecting it though, since the series is pretty much done with after R2. Confused
