Hmm, up until now I've been doing everything without apostrophes. So in this situation I would have generally merged Kanemaru Jun'ichi into Kanemaru Junichi (thereby replacing Kanemaru Jun'ichi with Kanemaru Junichi). Thoughts Dan ? |

加藤精三 is Katou, Seizou, who appears under two names in the Encyclopedia, both misspelled:
Kato, Seizou (#2392) and Katou, Seizo (#9661) Could we sort of nudge both of these records over into a properly-spelled Katou, Seizou record, please? - abunai |

Another one:
槐柳二 is appears under two names in the Encyclopedia: Saikachi, Ryuji (#7297) and Saikachi, Ryuuji (#27100) The latter is the correct transliteration, even though the former contains more data. - abunai |

鈴木杏 has at least two, probably three entries:
Suzuki, Anne (#27256) Suzuki, Ann (#22363) And a possible one: Suzuki, An (#9404) Her given name (杏) is pronounced as あん (An), but since her official website use Anne we'd better stick to it. By the way, I don't see any relationship between Returner and any anime, at least not on ANN's page or its official site. P.S. Why don't we make "Duplicate encyclopedia entries" sticky? |

梅津秀行 (うめづひでゆき) should be spelled as "Umedu, Hideyuki," not the following three:
Umetsu, Hideyuki Umeza, Hideyuki Umezu, Hideyuki However, the last one (#1256) contains lots of info, so that's the one should be renamed and preserved. Sources: http://www.81produce.co.jp/man/umeduhideyuki.html http://www.tora-2.com/koe/UmeduHideyuki.htm EDIT: Fixed. Last edited by dormcat on Mon Oct 11, 2004 1:30 am; edited 1 time in total |

光宗信吉 has two entries,
Mitsumune, Nobuyoshi Mitsumune, Shinkichi The given name (信吉) can be spelled either Shinkichi or Nobuyoshi. However, according to this page it is certain that his given name should be spelled as Shinkichi. Thus the credit should be given to Shinkichi MITSUMUNE (#382), not Nobuyoshi MITSUMUNE (#10863), and #10863 should be removed from the database. Sources: http://www.face-music.co.jp/2_artist/mitsumune.htm http://movie.goo.ne.jp/cast/145604/ EDIT: Fixed, but the entry still exists due to an error. Actually, given the hiragana pronounciation, the correct name is Hideyuki Umezu. |

Mmmm, I knew that 梅津 could be spelled either as Umetsu (e.g. Umetsu, Yasuomi) or Umedu, but could you tell me why both of those URLs use Umedu? Aren't ず as "zu," つ as "tsu" and づ as "du," or is there any twisted or specialized pronunciation? (Scratching my head heavily ) Thanks in advance. |

Technically, there's no "du" in the Japanese alphabet. づ is pronounced "zu". |
