I always up for anything Ghost in the shell-related. I really regret missing out on Dark Horse's release of the manga, but I guess I was too young to know any better then .

So, wait. A manga based on an anime based on a manga?
Nice and redundant.

Not necessarily. Manga tie-ins to anime series make for nice, cheap extra revenue, and the SAC TV series is an entirely different beast than the original manga. It's no different than the comic tie-ins to comic book based cartoons.

Hopefully they'll release something non-GITS related.

Of course it's redundant. But it will sell well. Probably. I'd rather see BECK, though.

Now what's this about a gag 4-koma? That's the part I'm interested in!

Yeah, it'd be nice of them to release those in English since most of the guide books didn't make it over here...

Am I the only person who kinda sorta wants to see that? For science?

Given that SAC is my favorite of the GITS franchise, I'm tremendously happy to hear about this. Further, a partnership, to any degree, with such powerful players in the industry is always an interesting thing to watch unfold.

If this is going to be a new manga based on the anime, I hope they have Shirow do it.
Haven't seen anything new from him in awhile.
