At least they're on a spree of bringing back shows people like whose original distributors have dropped them, as opposed to the ADV method of licensing the first shiny thing that got within visual range.

I would say it's more "apocalyptic," actually.
I'd rather see someone pick up Cardcaptor Sakura, though. even a repressing of the old Pioneer sub would be quite nice. X was rereleased as a Remix just a few years ago, so seeing it getting picked up for yet another release is sort of "blah" for me.

CCS got a remastered DVD release in Japan, but the quality was reportedly disappointing. It was remastered again for the Blu-ray release which was supposed to be a lot more impressive. Would be nice to see these released overseas at a much more affordable price, but I don't see it happening.

Since Jan. 1, 2008, Funimation has licensed (including previously licensed series) over 65 series at least. While other companies are struggling to get a few new licenses in this abysmal economy, I give hats off to them for being being dedicated to staying alive. It also helps when they have Brotherhood and One Piece streams, as well as their success in DBZ games to keep them alive. They are the anime company right now.
