You've been discussing the technology for years, man. Either do it, or give it to someone else like you did with Spider-Man.

I'd rather he did it himself. I'm not in any damn hurry. |

This. He wants photo realism. Current tech can do everything except for people with photo realism. I have no clue what Battle Angel is but based off the name i'm assuming it's a human looking thing that does insane looking stuff where entire sequences would probably have to be CGI or could only be real people on extreme closeups or when there is a pause in battle and someone strikes a cool pose to prepare for a cool attack. I watch the Matrix Reload and think about how crappy it'd be if these sequences ended up looking like the god awful human CGI in the Neo vs 100 Agent Smiths fight. It's better to wait and have it done right then rush and get garbage. If it's done right, it may take a while but at least it's good. If it's garbage it's garbage. Getting garbage quickly doesn't make it good, imo. |

Well, if he is considering doing it let's hope it doesn't take as long as it took him on 'Avatar'. I can't believe that film took that long.
But considering at least we can say this movie is being considered and talked about, unlike the MIA 'Eva' movie. |

I'd rather see more stylized CGI than the kind that aims for photorealism. There's no way CGI can replicate human acting even with motion capture. Besides Battle Angel Alita manga itself isn't photorealistic in style, except maybe for some mechanics and backgrounds. |

Battle Angel is the most intensely cyborg-focused science fiction piece I've ever seen in any medium from any country - and we're not talking about "pass for normal human" cyborgs here, either. The majority of the cast (even in bit parts!) are cyborgs who have very distinctly non-human components, sometimes very elaborately so; one villain is a human head on a robotic snake-like body, for instance. The heroine (among others) also has action scenes that would be in Cameron's stated adaptation range where she continues to fight despite having lost half or more of her body, and that would certainly be tricky to do, too. |

"look a>tno commitments"? I think there is some sort of typo there.

I don't think it say's anywhere that she'll be 14. Just that she's young. I can't recall any mention of her exact age but I'd describe her as reasonably young or at least, that's how she looks.
