Ponyo looks promising, as expected. It also makes the first cartoon/animation to have hit theaters in a long time now.

I didn't even need to see the new Ponyo trailer to confirm Miyazaki's visual awesomeness that I'm bound to watch in the movie.

Tail Enders looks like it's from the creators of Dead Leaves. As long as this title isn't as tastelessly bloody, it looks like it might be fun.

Oh my gosh, I know. If it wasn't for the cartoons on the normal channels it seems like kids these days would barely even know what animation is.

Tailenders reminds me of Peter Laird's Planet Racers somewhat.

Still, the fact that the Dead Leaves crew is doing the animation for this may be worth checking out. Smile

I'm going to try my best to see Ponyo in theaters. I missed my opportunity to see Princess Mononoke that way a few years back and I'm certainly not making that mistake again.

Ponyo is excellent!
I saw it with my daughter last weekend at the NZ Film Festival screening. Word of caution - the target audience for this is ages 5+, so don't expect anything too dark or angsty.
Lots of humourous situations for the accompanying parents - I absolutely enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, it was subtitle only with japanese dub - so my 5 year old couldn't read fast enough to follow the dialogue. The 8 yo loved it though, and the visuals were fantastic.
