Hi, I'm new here and I'm a bit overwhelmed by so much choice. I'm looking for a funny Manga, surreal, a bit like Bobobo but different..
Or other hints are welcome!

Try reading Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, it's got the "surreal" touch you're looking for and it's one of the funniest that I've read in a long time, but that just may be because I don't read many manga that are explicitly meant for comedy. All in all though great manga, the first volumes have been published in english and it's got an anime as well. Good luck and happy hunting.

I'd suggest Detroit Metal City. it turned out to be alot funnier than I thought it would, the main character being a mild-mannered sissy by day, and the emperor of hell front-man for the wildest death-metal band in the indie scene by night. I don't know if it has the surreallity you're looking for, but it's worth a shot for the open-minded manga reader.

If you want surreal, I suggest Short cuts, in fact one of the comic strips just devolves into a huge, Dali-esque spread. It's actually kind of amazing.
I also suggest Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga, it's like Bakuman but funny.[/i]

If you want to read a sure surreal Japanese manga, I will recommend you to check the
Yoshiharu Tsuge's "Nejishiki(ねじ式=Screw type)". ( ´∀`)つ
It gave impression to a lot of readers and cartoonist in Japan, though it was very old(1968) and short work.
I'm not sure whether there ia a foreign language translation version of it or not.
Perhaps, it might be not, 'cause the translation of the word in the sentence of this work is very very difficult. 。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。
Akira Toriyama used a character that had come out in"Nejishiki" for his work(Dr.Slump Arare-chan).
Osamu Teduka used words that had come out in "Nejishiki" for his work(Black Jack) for the first story title,
I think that more than 50% of Japanese adult knows this Manga title. (^ω^)

Gawd, that's not something most non-Japanese manga fans are aware of, let alone obtain it. Many current mangaka had been heavily influenced by it, though.

It's actually been published in English (in The Comics Journal #250 back in 2003 - back issues are still available from the Fantagraphics web shop).
You're right that very few Western manga fans have ever heard of it though.

Wao, foreign countries translation version had been published. ∩( ・ω・)∩banzai!
I express a considerable respect to the translator. (;´Д`)'`ァ'`ァ
The content of this story is a work by which the readers consider the meaning far more deeply
than the author thinks. (^Д^)
"Nejishiki" the movie and the play that had done the work in hommage were run in Japan.
The boy in the penguin village where fox's mask was covered comes out in Dr.Slump Ararechan.
His name is called "Nejishiki-kun".
Then, I will introduce the oyher surreal (maniac) work that seems, perhaps there is no overseas
translation version in present and the future. ( ゚Д゚)つ
Please check the (漫画☆太郎)Mr.Manga☆Tarou's works when you had a chance to come to Japan.
About his work, reader's likes and dislikes is completely divided into. (屮゚Д゚)屮
The content of his work is all confused.
If you see the picture of the old woman whom he draws , you will be likely to become a trauma.
I don't absolutely recommend to see his work to whom likes Shoujo manga genre.
However, a lot of fans of him are in Japan. (*´д`…
My recommendation of his works are,
"ハデー ヘンドリックス物語(Story of Hade Hendrix)"
*Hade(派手=showy) is an antonym of Jimi(地味=sober) in Japan.
"地獄 甲子園(Hell Koshien)"
And all other of his works. There is no straight thing in his work. ┐(´д`)┌
