Well what did you think? Was the opening supposed to be dubbed? I thought it was ok...I like the manga better though. I just was like, "What is going on here?" when I was watching, everything was happening so fast.

That...that was awful. With all the hype people have thrown on it, I was expecting it to be at least mediocre (a la Love Hina), but it wasn't. It was mind-numbingly bad, and unless it improves greatly in the next two or three episodes I will not be following this one.

Well, I found out that Tokyopop allowed Nelvana to dub Rave Master. If you've followed the whole Cardcaptors controversy, Nelvana butchered that show by splicing episodes, changing the music and etc....
That leads me to believe that Nelvana spliced up Rave Master as well.... when will Tokyopop learn that fans want the original or as close to it as possible? Oh well, hopefully the Rave Master DVD in October will have an uncut version on it.

Oh, there is a thread about this. Oh good. About Rave Master. I do not think that was the first episode, was it? *Horrible*. AHHHH! Oh well. I hope some decent DVD company can come up with some kind of uncut release.

Well guys seriously stay away from the anime. I got it all fansubbed a long time ago before it was ever licensed and this show has possibly one of the worst ending ever. It ends on a huge cliffhanger. The show introduces the new villain who's origins are quite interesting then just ends at the last episode. No wrap up not even ending a story arc. The manga is a lot better cheaper and longer. So just get that stay away from Rave Master it's not worth your time animated.

I have to agree with you it was HORRIBLE. I thought it was going to be good with the hype I've kept hearing about this show, instead it was just plain bad and the animation ugh.
The opening song was so bad that I nearly threw my control at my tv screen. Yup I was greatly dissapointed how the show overall was.

yeah i thought the opening song was pretty bad to, id actually prefer the DragonBall GT rap instead! I liked the animation for the show and all but unless the dvd come out uncut and better then it is now i prob wont have anything to do with the animated series. I didn't even think that was episode 1!!

The manga has potential not the show. The show has no potential. It just ends. Here's a minor spoiler for you all. Not gonna spoiler tag it because it doesn't ruin the experience. The last episode ends introducing the Dark Bring master at episode 51 and ends with him laughing. That's it that's all for Groove Adventure Rave. There's nothing else. Stay away don't watch this one.

wow, people really didn't like this show. To tell the truth, I kind of liked it. At least they are handling the dub a little comically. I might've misheard this, but I thought one of the gaurds called Haru a "honkey" when he was being kicked out of a casino in Hip Hop City. I also find it amusing that I didn't see one black person in the whole town and the boss looked like some sort of Vanilla Ice clone. For me, the comedic elements outweigh the general crappiness of the story.
