Well this might get locked soon after this is posted but oh well. Does anyone know why the rune soldier 's discs are in 5.1 audio when they clear state on the disc, that the only audio tracks are 2.0 english/2.0 japanese? My amp reads it as a full 5.1 DD though for some reason, and my friends is the same way. Is this just an error when encoding the discs?
ps. If this isn't a valid post, and is locked because of the stupid topic, I'm sorry

I haven't seen Rune Soldier Louie, but I've had a similar thing happen to me with other DVDs.
My surround system has several options including: A.F.D. (auto format decode) in which it automatically detects whatever sound encoding is on the disc; and the other one I use the most, a Dolby Pro Logic field.
Sometimes when I watch movies (live action or anime) and play certain video games that have Dolby Digital, I have the system set on the DPL field because the A.F.D. sometimes won't read it and hence, won't use all 5 speakers.
However, when I tend to leave it on DPL too long, after I switch back to A.F.D., it sometimes detects another DVD as DPL, even if it's regardless of whether it's encoded for 2.0 or not.
So to put it simply, I have no clue as to why it does that.
Just thought I'd let you know though that I have a similar problem.
