Reading that summary made me nauseous. Now, I'm sure that if I were anyone else, I still would've felt nauseous, but I feel especially nauseous because -I'm- a middle school girl. That's...sick.

I'd hate to break it to you, but considering how the economy is going and how the anime industry is not an exception, the percentage of titles that contain moe, lolicon, chest groping, "useless" fan-service and fetishes are going to have to be bumped up from 80% to 90%. They're the only titles that manage to have sales in Japan. Case in point--Strike Witches is the only reason why GONZO is still alive right now after it shot itself in the foot by creating western-tailored shows long after the R1 anime boom ended. They're not gonna be able to produce anime without that kind of stuff if they don't get any revenue first. Oh what the hell am I doing? I call troll on this one. Also, why the hell do people bring up Handley when it's clear that a title is NOT pornographic? Dumbasses. |

You moron, he was convicted only on the pornographic stuff. The only reason why he wasn't allowed to access anime during the case so the investigators didn't have to search any further to see if there's similar content in the mix. Hell, no officer in the US is going to care if you possess even an "ecchi" title like KnJ. |

Judging by a couple of the other series that run in the same magazine, it either won't be all that objectionable... or it will be very objectionable indeed. Or somewhere in between. Given that it's about schoolgirls underwear, I'm expecting it to be too close to the objectionable end of the scale for my liking.

I... feel not so surprised to see something like this getting animated.
Anyways, if a certain age group gender keeps on buying this stuff, then by all means go for it. ... I'll be looking to see more of this in the future.

While i do feel the plot sounds retarded(could still be a fun show),must ANN turn these topic into some whine fest about how most of the stuff getting greenlit is "ecchi moe crap" been like that for years why start whining now when theres a economy down the crapper and it's obviously smart to produce safe shows, then they can survive and dear god hopefully produce some quality shows further down the line

It should be noted that Japanese high school system is divided up into 2 parts: first 3 years and last 3 years. The last 3 years is often called "high school" while the first 3 years is often called "middle school".
Anyways, with all the whining and bashing going on here, I can only point out cultural relativism. A lot of you guys sound like the first westerners and missionaries to arrive in Japan upon finding out that nearly all of the onsen were mixed gender of all ages. |
