I'm curious if any users are noticing any video or audio quality differences. Report here, please.

Now THIS, right here, is how you do it! I'd be taking notes if I were you, FUNi! They'll be offering the HD Streaming experience, while you'll be left behind in the digital dust... But then again, this feature will probably only be available to paid subscribers. Still, it's a step in the right direction, and with this move they just might get the 50k Anime Memberships they're shooting for!

Maybe they would of hit that target a hell of a lot sooner if all the good stuff wasn't locked in a legal limbo that made no god damned sence.
I meen who the hell has the UK rights to Black Jack?!
It's not a case of wanting it before it airs in Japan it's just wanting to see the damn thing and, for all it's warts, Funi were providing me with that content.

And the reason I ask is because I really don't know what kind of a difference Akamai is supposed to make.

This little feature may indeed be of some importance, but I'm more interested in the fact that the word worldwide is used in this article. Lapsing into optimism for a fleeting moment, perhaps they indeed wish to make improvements to their service aside those pertaining to connection speed and video quality. My doubts prevail however.
