Hey, i just finished Fruits Basket and it was definatley one of my all time favorties. I've also seen His and Her Cisumstance and really liked it too. I was woundering if anyone had any suggestions on series that were kind of like them that are also good? Thanks!

I kind of classify those two series in their own category just because I can't think of anything that is comparable to them.
I would suggest...um...maybe Chobits or Fushigi Yuugi?

I have saikano its pretty good i have only seen vol1 so i don't know if the sereis picks up the pace. Vol 1 was a little slow. My reccomdations to you would be chobits, Magical Shopping Arcade, last exile (not really like fruits basket but its one of the better animes this year)

Never saw His & Hers, but I really liked FB - keep that one on the downlow. Anyways, I fully agree w/ ricbrist - Abenoboshi and Chobits would be perfect. I'm actually watching both right now - Chobits on DVD, and Abenoboshi on anime network. So far Chobits is more like crack - you know what I'm talking about if you've seen FB. Abenoboshi is good too, but in a different way. It's good, but I can't explain it.

Saikano is really good if you like character driven shows, but the story is intentionally vague. a Lot of details are never explained but they really arent important to the shows plot. That said, I think youll like it.

another good one for you might be Please! Teacher. I'm a huge fan a Fruits Basket, and I liked Please! Teacher just about as much as I liked Fruits Basket. The only bad thing about it is that it is only a 13 episode series

Full Moon wo Sagashite... It's a shoujo series with a style similar to Fruits Basket and His and Her Circumstance (and most of the other suggestions here aren't), except in some ways it manages to surpass them in terms of being emotional... Unfortunately, no one licensed it yet...

I'd recommend GALS from ADV. You can obviously tolerate crazy shoujo comic antics, and that's the core of this series. I guess there's no overarching plot line like FB and His and Hers (which I both saw and loved), but I found this show surprisingly addicting. The episodes all concern a group of kogals (trendy Japanese teens) in Shibuya and their slightly crazy lives. There's some melodrama too ( a la FB and H&H) with one kogal being a former gang member, etc. ANN has given great reviews of this somewhat underlooked show, so check them out on this site.
FYI, you'll probably find the show under Super GALS. But this title makes the show seem kinda lame (which it is most definitely not!), so I prefer plain old GALS.

i dunno, i guess i'd suggest I, My, Me - Strawberry Eggs if you haven't seen that...heh, i dunno how much similar it is from FB or H&H but im sure you'd like it. ( if you haven't seen it already)

Have you tried Pretear? I think it has the same humor/romance/wacky adventure thing going...
If you don't care if it's in Japanese.. then I recommend Kodocha, Hime-chan no ribbon and Pita-ten too (although Pita-ten does get cutesy at times).

Saying Pita-ten gets cutesy at times is like saying Seattle gets rained on at times. It is cutesy, period, end of story.

I would suggest abenobashi magical shopping arcade. Its hilarious, and has a decent story line. Its funny, and crazy in some parts, but the story as a whole ties together better than excel saga. I really don't like that series. Give it a try
