That was funny although I can understand the logic in Kevin's thinking to the point of maybe finding someone into his hobby at con might be a better way to go.

In the last panel, is Nina trying not to laugh or is she angry? I can't tell.

Am I the only one who can't look at Nina's pet without thinking of Girls Bravo?

Non-anime-related jokes > anime-related ones?
Actually, I don't think I know the answer to that.

Common sense, Kevin. Common sense. That you didn't use there.

But they would be willing to listen at least....
For me though personally I would want someone to at least accept my hobbies, being into them would be nice, but at the minimum to understand that much like guys with sports, guys tend to bond through their hobbies, so for me it's a way to bond with my friends through anime, gaming, comics. So as long as someone is willing to at least accept it I'm open.

Well that was how I met my current girlfriend, and we're happy being together for more than 3 years and counting. Our mutual hobby of anime might had been the connection, but it took a lot of communications and interactions beyond the scope of anime subculture for us to be truly happy with ourselves and for each others. Otherwise our relationship would've been too shallow.
And as for the comic strip, I demand a shirt that says "Face Full of Meoopi Wing Wong" for Kevin.

And suddenly we find the hidden meaning behind that blue bowl from a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, we also learn why Myoopi is usualy drawn in profile *shudder* ... explains Nina's nightmares from him being in her face while asleep too.

So I guess we all learned that Miyopi loves coolwHip. After all who dosn't love coolwHip? Can't have a pie without coolwHip.
If no one gets that joke I just posted for nothing.

As a Sakura Con attendee, I slightly resent that.
It's fair logic for sure- I met my BF at a Yugioh tourney, so I fully endorse the 'mingle with geeks' angle.
Now, I wonder- why does Myoopi eat Cool Whip? Is it a nessecary dietary staple, or does it simply produce tastier candy?

For cheese whip would've result in Myoopi pooping cream puffs, who know? They should conduct some experiments with Myoopi's eating habits, on Kevin's expense of course.
