This is really good news since I was worried as to how they would end this after giving so little screen time and development to the two primary girls in this series. All hail the 1998 game

I'm rather enjoying the first series of W.A. so I'm happy to hear it won't have a super rushed ending.

My sentiments exactly. Why would they skip spring? Makes no sense whatsoever.

Maybe because they didn't want to rush the project?
Is it such a terrible thing to delay the release of a product if the overall feeling is that more time will be needed to increase the quality?
Anyway, seinen romance isn't for everyone. So I can understand why some people wouldn't enjoy W.A.

Not to mention it's set in the 1980s meaning technology deprivation, which not many anime fans are use to seeing.
Delaying the product is a good thing since it clearly was not finished planning as we are now more than 2/3 through the series with very little character development.

Currently watching this for the "melodrama taken oh-so-seriously factor" but if it goes on for another 13 episodes? I don't know if I can handle the main character's irresponsible idiocy for that long. Oh, well. We'll see how I feel about this season's ending.

Main character's idiocy?
I could understand if you wrote negligence to his girlfriend, but idiocy?
What do you mean? All he has done thus far is try to help out his friends when he can.

I'm really surprised how many viewers there are who say that W.A. is boring or unrealistic or otherwise terrible.
Maybe it isn't the sugary sweet romance series where everything works out perfectly and the first girl the protagonist meets in the series is the girl he gets with in the end after a lot of escapades and accidentally seeing her naked.
But that's why I've been loving White Album. There a level of realism to the series that I haven't seen in another in some time (it's even better than Bokura ga Ita). Characters think completely different things than what they say, the main couple frequently lie to each other or lie through omission, and misunderstandings are frequent (that don't involve someone getting smacked into the sky with a twinkle).
There haven't been any scenes of high drama or melodramatics like Clannad or Kanon, people just sort of grow closer or fall apart in a natural way.

Wow, this is a bit of a shock, this is the type of series that should only be 12 episodes. I guess it's going well.
If they want to make White Album better (it's doing okay right now) they need to introduce some more male characters and get some real pairings going because it's been a bit too angst-ridden lately. As others have said, I'll see how I feel about season 1's ending.

As I mentioned in my post, this is what really bothers me about how White Album is taken. That is precisely the last thing this series needs.
White Album is not Kare Kano, Honey and Clover, Hana Yori Dango or Lovely Complex. No one needs to be neatly or conveniently paired off just because they are in a series. Most people in a situation like this would end up with a slightly broken heart and alone.
It's all about a relationship tearing itself apart for all kinds of reasons, especially a lack of communication (compounded by the setting and lack of cell phones). Situations like this aren't going to end with a happy ending for everyone involved.

I understand where you're coming from, and I thought the series did create a viable, real, complicated, and messy portrait of human emotions at first...but in recent episodes it's become more of a, as Key would put it, "serious, mature version of a harem." If the creators had kept the focus on maybe one or two key girls then it wouldn't be so convoluted. But after Misaki's confession and Mana's kiss things are getting a little out-of-hand. If Touya's going to be that indecisive, could he at least go behind Yuki's back with one person and not three?
