Just out of curiosity has anyone compared the Individual (or season 1 parts 1 and 2 boxsets) against the new Season 1 complete?? I noticed that the Season 1 complete is only 4 discs while it was released individually as 7 discs. I was just curious if the Picture quality of the new season set was up to par with the old releases or if their was a Noticeable PQ decline with the set going on 4 discs from 7 (unless of course the originals were on single layer discs or had special features removed in the new ones)

FUNi's encoding in the past wasn't that good. In fact, it was awful. Though, in the case of FMA, it was tolerable. The PQ on the full season sets seems to be better. You can get more info here.
