I was considering picking up Sgt. Frog manga (known as "Keroro Gunso" in Japan). It looks like it could be funny. For anyone that has read it, is it any good?

I was really hesitant to pick up Sgt. Frog, but I really enjoyed it. The humor and its off the wall storyline are a nice change from a lot of the other manga that are on the shelf right now.

Agreed - I though it was going to be completely stupid and idiotic, but it's actually quite funny and entertaining.

At first Sgt. Frog seemed kinda like a boring idea for a manga. But after reading a teaser tokyopop put at the end of Jing: King of Bandits vol 3, i decided to give it a try. Now that i have the first volume, i'm glad that i got it. It's a pretty good manga so far and i'm dying for Suncoast to get the next volume.

It's currently on Tokyopop's best seller section along with fruit basket and saiyuki. If it's not good, It does seem very interesting, I might pick it up along with Suikoden III. (have not heard anything about this manga)

yes I was grabbed actually by this one and decided to try it though most I've spoke with were reluctant or jumped right in. Its a little crazy I guess but that just means fans of such things will enjoy- I like it so far.
