CPM's stuff is OOP on every site except Rightstuf, who recently got a shipment from them. They don't seem to be running out any time soon. Did they sign an agreement, and if so, is CPM still an active company?

Boy, that's a good one. I don't think CPM has licensed anything in FOREVER (mind, they gave rights to Slayers TV to FUNi when FUNi picked up the new season of Slayers). I don't know how active they still are; Justin Sevakis would be a much better source of info than I could ever be, as he is an ex-employee of theirs.

Alright, I emailed Answerman. I'll see if it gets answered that way.

I hope it does, this sounds like something that might get referred to Justin, like Unit said. I'm curious as to the answer too.

Funimation licensed and re-released Slayers/Next/Try long before the new series even existed.

Also, over on AoD it's been pointed out that the website for CPM's adult label, Anime18, now redirects to Critical Mass' website.

That's surprising actually. You see, I recently went though a whole big thing with them trying to get a copy of the original Patlabor OVA. I waited for months for them to get one in stock. In the end they explained that they had been recently getting frequently shorted on their orders for it. They never did get one in and decided to remove it from their site. So yeah, Rightstuf would have struck me as the last place to go for CPM titles. This may be nothing more than a coincidence though.
