This is called forcing to adapt. I just hope it works out for them. I am sure it will with Clannad, but I just hope it is enough to keep ADV around.

Half-season sets....smart plan, ADV.
What sane and sober company would even bother with single discs these days? (Then again, why didn't the industry just go with box sets right from the beginning?)

Cool. Though I still would like to have the normal DVD boxes more, this is fine.

Just because they are adapting to our ever changing market, I will be purchasing these half boxes! Good job and keep it up!

FUNimation?
I will tell you what, after seeing FUNi's paper season sets that I have gotten so far, Claymore and DtB seem like a deal to me. Sure I like the prices a little more, but I would be willing to pay a little more if they stuck them in hard cases instead of flimsy glorified construction paper.

It's a nice change of pace. I think I'll end up buying both box-sets, since they're so cheap. I've already seen Clannad, but I have yet to see Princess Resurrection.

I'm not interested in either of these titles, but it's good to see ADV adapting to market demand. Let's just hope it's not too little, too late.

Good move on ADV's part. ^^ Most people go for the boxsets over single DVDs for budgeting reasons, shelf reasons, etc, so it's a good move overall for fans to purchase the series they want in the sets. So ADV is making a great step forward in releasing two much-wanted series in a much-wanted format for consumer purchasing.

Excellent move, ADV. Will buy Clannad.
Does anyone know if either of these will have an english dub on them?

I'll take a pass on the generic moe/harem show, but Princess Resurrection looks veddy intelesting...but only if it has a dub, which ADV might have had to cut since Sojitz kicked them out of bed.
Also: FUNi's half-season sets are a good idea, but the packaging is a joke. Was it necessary to make Aquarion's boxes so damn flimsy? I swear to God, if their "go green" packaging is going to be that pathetic, who's gonna miss a few dozen trees?

Nice to hear ADV's going to make the leap to half season sets, though those fairly early release dates make me wonder a bit with the dubbing. It seems too soon for the best results.
Both are on my list. Clannad majorly.
