I was reading through the newest issue of Offical Playstation Magazine and behold, the anime section. It said something like that Geneon Entertainment is working on a US release. Does that mean that Geneon licensed Samurai Champloo or not?

That quick? The show hasn't even come out in Japan yet, and Geneon already has it? Wow, talk about staying ahead of the curve.
Any idea on how long the series is gonna be? Will they try to do what Viz does with Inuyasha and keep the U.S. releases somewhat close to each other?

Eh, Bandai did the same thing with Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex. Not that big of a deal.

Someone should add the licensed company to the encyclopedia as soon as possible.

Actually, it's happening a lot with Geneon lately... For example since October we've had Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi, Gungrave, Burn Up Scramble, Paranoia Agent and the yet to be released Tenjho Tenge. In all of these cases Geneon Entertainment USA are listed under the credits, so they probably funded those anime. And all of them were probably licensed before any of them were aired in Japan because of that.

Yeah, I'm praying that 4kids doesn't get the license or there's going to be alot of problems... especially because 4kids doesn't release uncut dvds.
