Am I the only one who is getting real fed up with how long its taking Sony to get the Blood+ volumes out? I bought the Part 1 set with the first 25 eps and it too them like 3 months to get the second DVD out and since then nothing. At this rate we will get the last 25 eps sometime in the next 10 years.

Anyone else as annoyed as me. Or hell anyone know the reason they are taking so long?

I don't really understand Sony's reasoning on this matter either. What's the point of releasing a box set that has 25 episodes and then release 1 single at a time afterwards? I can understand what Bandai's doing with Code Geass, because they're doing simultaneous releases with the set and singles, but this one baffles me.

I am wondering the same thing plus the fact that the broadcast has been done for almost a year now you would think they would start speeding things up.

Btw I like your avatar.

Thanks ^^ Persona 3 Ftw.

Yeah on topic it's really annoying. I have been getting the Itch to watch the series over again and its kind of annoying when you have half of it sitting on your shelf waiting to be watched.

I checked Right Stuf's got anime page recently as well and the release of the 3rd volume or the part 2 set isn't listed all the way up to December. Which means they haven't even sent word of the release of the next volume. The same thing happened with volume 2 it appeared on the Got anime page about a week before it was to be released which i guess means Sony is telling people about it right when they are shipping it. What annoys me most is they aren't even giving fans any word about whats going on. The official page hasn't been updated in forever and the same for the My space page they made for the show.

Sorry if that turned into a bit of a rant ^^;

No, you have a right to rant, Sony are being dumbasses on the matter. You don't release a boxset of 25 episodes and then wait for all of them to be released on individual dvds, what the hell is their problem. I mean, I was so excited when I heard it was coming out cause I had waited FOREVER for it to even be announced that the first dvd was coming out. People are gonna lose interest if they pull of a stunt like this.

Also, Persona 3 kicks a whole lot of ass, i don't care what most people say, the dubbing on it was quite excellent.

one of the best games ever and I the FES version so it's even better.

Yeah it's getting really annoying I wanted to buy season three and four because they were my favorites but that doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon.

i don't condone or participate in pirating or downloading anime, we have all seen the harm it does to our obsession but the actions of Sony and other release agent must take part of the responsibility for that with the way they treat the public .

Yeah I don't download anime or anything of the like. I like to support the company's bringing it here so we will have more of it in the future. Some of my friends have been saying just go torrent the series but I refuse to do so. There are a few reasons.

1) Quality is no where near DVD quality and I would prefer watching it on a big screen TV with high quality then looking at a tiny PC screen

2) The great extras alot of anime are coming with these days aren't in the downloads you find on the net and when you are a real fan that does indeed matter.

3) There is just something about having the disc or box set sitting on your shelf that I like.

As for Persona 3 Very Happy I also loved the dub. You would swear it was a anime with how it was done. I ranked up more then a 100hrs of play time in both the first version and Fes. I'm really excited for Persona 4 coming in December.

I should probably start off by saying "off topic" but have you seen the Persona anime, I've only seen the first few episodes myself but I hear Akihiko and Igor are the only returning characters in it. I can't wait till they dub it and I hope Liam O' Brien voices Akihiko again. I was so sad when I beat FES, i wanted the story to keep on going, lol. To be honest, P4 doesn't look half as good as P3 character wise, but I guess I'll determine that for sure this December Wink

It's good to hear that you don't realize how other people live.Others watch anime in "Hi-vision"(16 X High Definition) on a 1080p flat screen directly linked from their PC.It's very, very simple to hook all that up and that's the problem.Hi-vision makes DVD look like an 8mm reel.

All in all it's impossible to define a real fan,I've been collecting Anime and Videogames for 26 years.Playing and watching non stop, everyday.I've also got two storage units filled to the brim with goodies.Retro systems,LD,Beta and mounds of VHS anime.I download fansubs and well as buy DVD and Blu-ray.I've also watched over 1000 anime series,Do these things make me a real fan? It seems like a useless label to me.

^The extras kick ass in DVDs.And I completely agree,I love collecting anime and videogames. The more you collect it seems is never enough.

I enjoyed 3's Dub more than Persona 2.2's was horrible. For me though if it has an option to turn to the original language track,I'll do that. The Megaten series is badass,I look forward to Persona 4 as well.

I remember when Blood+ was airing on AS last year, people on this forum were saying Sony might not release it all, which didn't make sense if it was airing on American tv. But I could never find any info on Sony's website about the dvd releases at that time. So my husband bought me the entire series, imported, for Christmas. Then when I heard the series would be released, I thought, cool, now I can buy the NA release and get rid of the imports. But looks like I'll be holding onto them a bit longer. I might go ahead and buy the first boxset though, not just to support the industry but I'm a dub fan and Crispin Freeman is my favorite VA.

Same here Crispin Freeman is my favorite Va and I found that I liked the dubs better then the original japnese.

It's definitely going to be either the first game I get next year or the last one I get this year. I love the anime but the truth is I didn't think it would live up to the games but when I saw that one of nana kitade's new singles was the ending them well that kind of pushed me to watch.

I have yet to see the persona anime as I mentioned I don't like watching things on the net or getting them as downloads. If the whole thing about the quality thing is true it still seems like a massive amount of trouble when you can just buy the DVD and watch as opposed to hooking up all kinds of things. Anyway I'm waiting for the Persona anime to get a US release which will prolly take awhile but I will have Persona 4 to keep me occupied until then. Also I wish they didn't do the whole based 10 years after P3 thing. I was excited when I first heard about it as I was looking for to seeing all my favorite characters again. I too was sad when P3 Fes ended.

Now back on topic ^^; This is the first I have heard about Sony only releasing some of the series that's retarded if true. It's not so much that it's taking forever to release the rest thats annoying me. Well I mean it is annoying but... My main issue is that Sony hasent been keeping anyone informed. For all we know the first set and disc didn't sell enough and they are no longer releasing but we wouldn't know as Sony is saying a word.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking about this. All my other anime loving friends never got into Blood+ mainly because it was so long. Sad considering some of the best are longer.

P.S. Crispin Freeman is awesome I loved him segments on the Adventurers and Voice acting DVD. Almost everything he said gave me a good laugh.

I agree, I wanted to see the characters again as well Sad

Anyways, I agree they're doing a horrible horrible job at keeping us informed, they give us no clue what they're thinking right now, if they don't think sales are good enough, why not sell it off to funimation or something to finish releasing it. Piss me off so much.

Crispin can really talk up a storm though, lol. Not that its a bad thing, but he can talk about anything for a long time, at least he's got a good voice and not a boring voice Very Happy I wish profs were more like that Wink You can join his fangroup and he responds to most questions asked there, the links on his official site.
