I've been scouring the internet for days trying to find specific answers to my questions to no avail. Most sites I come across aren't very clear of the episodes in terms of the American box sets, so I am hoping someone here could help me out.
I've just recently started watching Naruto, and I'm only about half-way through the third American set, but I've been buying another set every few weeks or so, with eyes on getting them all. 01. Where exactly do the movies fall into the series? I know that most anime movies based on television series rarely effect the main story, but there is usually a place where it's best to watch the movies. (I'm mainly asking in terms of the movies that have already come out in the US, but clear information about where all the movies go would be awesome). 02. The Naruto "The Lost Story" DVD - is this a DVD I will have to buy independent of the series sets, or will its contents be included at some point in the series sets? I've been told that this was the OVAs, but is it all four of them? I know Hidden Leaf Village Grand Sports Festival was released as a bonus feature on the Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow special edition DVD. Does it include the OVA that had been included with the video game? Where should the OVAs be watched in terms of the series? |

Um the movies don't really matter the first movie can happen anytime before or during the chunin exams and the second one could go anywhere before the last episode of filler (before shippuden starts)
I don't know about your second question though. |

Did you check the encyclopedia? All the movies are dated, and so are the episode titles, you should watch the movies right after the date of the previous episode. It would make sense that the studio would only release a movie if it pertains to the story already told, wouldn't it?
As for "The Lost Story" DVD I don't know the right answer so I won't BS it, I'm sure someone will tell you. |

As of now you do have to buy The lost story single but who knows, maybe it will come in a set.
As for the movie's, in order 1-5. Ninja Clash in The Land of Snow- before episode 100 The Legend of The Stone of Gelel-Anywhere after episode 150 Guardians of The Cresent Moon Kingdom- Anywhere after episode 150 Shippuden- When you finish about 20 episodes or so of Naruto Shippuden, it really dosen't matter, you can watch it anywhere in shippuden. Kizushina- After episode 60 or so of Shippuden(even though you can't see that one yet) Hope that helps |

Like sj21 said, you have to buy The Lost Story indenpendently. Viz couldn't license the OVA that came with Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3, so you'll have to acquire that with other means. You can watch The Lost Story sometime after the Zabuza arc. You can watch the Sports Festival one at any time, it won't really matter (though, I must warn you that every character in Part 1 appears in this OVA, however brief it may be. So if you're touchy about knowing what characters are going to be introduced, then I suggest you wait until episode 135). I'm not sure if Viz is going to release the other OVAs. |

I was away from the internet for a while, but thank you all for your responses.
Does anyone know if there is any chance that they'll release a movie/OVA box set? |

The OVA that was released with the videogame was licensed for the UK version of the Lost Story.
