If you have cable and pay for on Demand chances are you have
the Anime Network. This is what you do if you have Comcast or Starpower or IRC. Click on menu. Then Click on Demand. Next Select Cutting Edge then select Anime Network. Once you have done this you'll see such genre's as Drama
(Angelic layer Eps 4-5,Princess Nine Eps 4-5 and Chobits Eps 1),
Science Fiction(Dai-Guard Eps 21,22,23, Evangelion Eps 19-20,Gasaraki
Eps 23-24, Mazinkaiser 7, Nadesico Eps 18-19, Raxephon Eps 16-17,
Zone of Enders Eps 12-13),Action(Bubble Gum Crisis Eps 19-20,Dunbine
Eps 10-11, Final Fantasy Unlimeted Eps 8-9 Full Metal Panic Eps 12-
13, Najica Eps 9-10,Noir Eps 18-19, Nuku Nuku 1, Orphen Eps 20-22,
Rune Soldier Ep 16-17 Saiyuki 1,14-15,Stell Angel Karumi 21-22,Zaion
Eps 3-4),Martial Arts(Blue Seed Eps14-15, Blue Seed 2 Eps 1) and
Comedy(Colorful Eps 13-16, Excel Saga Ep10-18,19, Those who Hunt
Elves 2 Eps 5-6, King of Bandit Jing Eps 11-12, Sorcerer Hunters Eps
4-5).
Hope this helps.

I think it is only on the east coast right now. I could be wrong though.
I am sure that it isn't in the SE Michigan area:)
(edit) I went and checked my on demand and to my surprise AN is in there. I'm not sure how long I have had it though. I've been checking the AN site pretty regularly and it always says "Your cable/satellite provider does not carry the Anime Network". It works in Ann Arbor, MI via Comcast Digital cable:)
Anyone know what the fees are associated with using AN? I couldn't find any. But I just can't imagine that it is free.

It varies between cable companies. For example, I have Comcast in Philly and I don't have any additional fees. (Just the digital cable package.)

So, wait. Is the Anime Network on cable only? My house has Direct TV. And I don't think I've ever seen it (unless I'm just too stupid to notice). And how much is it to order a "block" or whatever?

Yes, it is cable only (for right now anyway). And the cost varies between each company. (It's not a 'block'....it's like pay per view....)

Ohhh. So it's like paying per episode or movie? That's cool. What's the average then, do you think? And also, what's Tech TV. Nagisa said it's a sevice that talks about electronic and tech things like video games, computers, and that they recently started to show anime as well. Is this cable only too?

I honestly don't know about fees. My cable company doesn't have any fees attached. I just go to the On Demand menu and pick an episode and it doesn't cost me anything extra.
I don't get Tech TV so I don't know too much about it. But from what I know, it's a channel just like any other channel that focuses on tech stuff...computers, video games, etc. And they have Anime Unleashed (I believe that's their block) where they usually show anime that has a more technical vibe to it.

I have the Cablevision IO box and I have to pay seven dollars a month for unlimited viewing. All I had to do was call the cable company and tell them to add the channel to my account. I think (but I'm not sure) that it is five dollars an order if you don't sign up with the cable company.

The Anime Network showed up not long after AnimeBoston in Boston. It was quite a surprise as the second-in-command of the Anime Network was there at that Anime on T.V. panel and he didn't drop any hints.
At least here, in and around Boston, you must have digital cable to get the On-Demand channel. There are no fees attached to AN. You simply choose the channel and then the anime and watch. There are other 'stations' on On-Demand which do charge, so always pay attention to the header when you decide to watch something: if it says order you have to pay for it, if it says watch then it's free.
Wether or not it will change to a pay station later on remains to be seen.

If you're still wondering Tony K., Tech TV is channel 354 not far from MTV and stuff (at least on my DTV it is).

I watch Anime Network for free with Comcast On Demand. I wish they had more shows that I like. I'd rather watch Adult Swim.
