ALL RIGHT!!!! THANK YOU FUNimation, We're getting the good stuff, maybe we could get Hayate or Zetsubo Sensei or Gintama next!!!
And how much you wanna bet that TMS (not that I have anything against them) is going to screw us out of having the Japanese credits, or having the other OP's like they did with Conan, Lupin III, Saint Tail, Rayearth, and many others !!!!! OURAN RULES!!!! Keep it coming FUNimation, we lost a lot last year, but we're making up for it this year !!!!!! |

I'd love too see how will that work. The amount of refrences and jokes will chalnge any one who is not japanies in Gintama (or without subs), and Zetsubo Sensei is difficult to watch unless you have a *really* huge background in anime, Japan and everything else. But one can dream that they might come (Id be the first ione to buy them). I am glade that they got D.Gray-Man. The show has potintial, and with some of the best VA out there (Vic Mignogna any one?) it will have at least a decent job. At LEAST. I never seen Romeo x Juliet, so I suppose Ill fallow with its release. Now That Claymore and Darker Than Black are with Funi, and Ouran (hopefully ) on its way, only a few off my fav showes are left before they get thier Dubs . |

Me. It's low-end B-list stuff like this that's choking up the pipeline. In the current market, it's only cannibalising sales from other titles. This is a bad move from funi. |

I'm not saying this because it was either a good or a bad choice. I'm saying this because it was FUNimation MANY MANY MANY months ago who stepped up alongside GONZO even long before this license was announced and insisted that everyone stop pirating this show. |

whoa romeo looks weird with green hair.
i liked the show as a relaxing fantasy and i would much rather take shows like this than garbage like Solty-rei or Speed grapher. Last edited by loka on Sat May 17, 2008 7:38 pm; edited 2 times in total |

At least Romeo and Juliet has built-in name recognition. That's always a plus in marketing.
Anybody think DGM is an adult swim candidate? They could try to sell it as a FMA type show, cute boy battling sinister forces with an array of colorful characters to suit everyone's tastes. Just a thought. |

Yes indeed~! That would be epic. I dunno how they could do a dub, though. Who could play Allen and Lavi? VAs who try to pull off girly-boy-sounding voices usually fail epically, and Lavi's... jsut Lavi. He'll be hard to do, although anything's better than his Japanese voice IMO. I hope Funi's up to the challenge... Anyway, that D.Gray-man pic in the article isn't official art, it's crappy fan art. It's on the series' encyclopedia page too. Can we change that somehow...? >_>;; |

Oh, I just noticed what they said about revealing Ouran's release date at a special event on May 30th... I wonder if that will be A-Kon? That would only make sense, considering that's FUNimation's personal backyard, and that's the only anime convention in the US (other than Wizard World Philladelphia, which isn't really an anime con) on that particular weekend.

Anyone know what's up with 7 licenses in one week by Funimation?

I'm wondering the same thing. I wasn't impressed by some of their licenses (Mamotte! Lollipop? what the heck?) but GSG II and D.Gray-man got my attention big time. Strain should be good too. |

I'd rather see Nozomi get Zetsubo Sensei. They're doing a superb job with the niche titles they've licensed. And this is very much a niche title. |
