In Japan, episode 63 of Bleach was an hour special, with the first half being a recap & the second being new material that closed the Soul Society arc. & with ep 64 scheduled to air next week (the start of the dreaded filler), it seems likely that Adult Swim will be skpping the recap half-hour & jump right to the new material. So no, no recap here.

Sorry to hear about your cat. I've had a dog who ran away once, & ultimately returned on her own a few days later. I dunno about cats doing that, though.

Sci-Fi needs to get some more anime to show. They've repeated things way to much.

Or, they could show Street Fighter II V again and this time actually show the whole series instead of stopping at episode 19. I didn't like the series that much, but it could at least be mildly amusing. I've been too lazy to bother tracking down the end of the series, but if Sci-Fi showed those episodes I'd watch them. Better than constant repeats.

At least they haven't aired Virus Buster Serge again....

To be slightly more specific, the first half hour was a recap special and then the second half hour was episode 63. The recap stuff is not a part of episode 63 at all.

Episode 63 is, in fact, the finale of the entire Soul Society arc, which is about as far from "recap episode you don't have to watch" as you're likely to get.

Hope your cat comes back, Brian. I can sympathize, as one time outs ran away for a whole week

As for the scheduling, I had quite the wtf moment when I saw Macross near the top, as I reflexively assumed this meant Macross Frontier. Then I shifted my eyes to the right and saw 'Plus' attached to the title.

Axel shows up at the Supreme King's castle, which is either the final level in a Burger King video game or the place where Jaden is being held hostage! One of those two things!

Well, given who the Supreme King is ... I choose 'A' (or would have last week when he actually arrived.)

Hmmm, Shin Chan in the death slot to improve DVD sales ... hadn't thought of that one, but find my idea slightly more plausible.

I feel like some people have some misconceptions as to how Adult Swim's Saturday anime lineup generally works. There really isn't any "death slot" or "prime slot," not from one week to the next. Saturday's ratings have been notoriously fickle for a very long time now. One week, the 11:30 show will grab the top spot. The next week, it'll be the 1:30 show. A week after that, it'll be 12:30. Hell, there have been many occasions when episodes from the 2-5 repeat block have grabbed one of the top three ratings spots. [as] often seems to shift the Saturday schedule around at whim, trying to find a lineup that can be sustainable over the long term...which hasn't happened yet over the last two or three years. There's no deliberate plan at work here at all.

Poor Brian....do you want one of my cats? and while I enjoy your attempts to explain away [as]'s actions Top Gun probably has the real reason. [as] doesn't really have a plan.

More wishes that your kitty returns soon. I know how sad I was when mine went missing for awhile and came back 3 days later looking like she was beat up badly. Now she still goes out, but doesn't wander as far.

If you get her back, let us know!

Considering the whole Soul Society arc dragged on for too long, the so-called filler might be a breath of fresh air.
