"D. Gray Man" is s*** compared to "Soul Eater." It's the first time in awhile that an anime has grabbed my attention so wonderfully. Five minutes into the first episode, and I knew it was going to be THE SHOW.

I already knew after seeing the first episode that Soul Eater will the one shounen show that will put all other shounen shows to shame with its unique art style, animation, and action. I haven't felt this excited for a shounen show since I first started watching Naruto and Bleach back in high school, which I lost interest in over a year ago. Besides One Piece, maybe this show will be the one to renew my love for the shounen genre.

Fun fact Soul Eater came out two years before D.Gray Man did. Also Soul Eater is nothing like Bleach and Devil May Cry.

I thought the show was really good. It's gonna be a hit. The action was nice.

... It's shounen? My hopes are slightly lessened. Hopefully its good like FMA and not the typical trash that shounen usually is.

It runs in the same magazine as FMA if that makes you feel any better.
(FMA is shounen too)

Not really...

I know, thats why I mentioned it. FMA seems to be the only shounen that has substance and has less than 100 episodes.

I used to like shounen a lot, but after burning myself out in middle school with long series like Naruto and Bleach, I rarely touched shounen at all.
Now then Soul Eater comes around. I'm hooked
I don't usually have high expectations for shounen shows, but Soul Eater was so much fun to watch.

It's weird so far - I will see how ep 2 does - if its better than the first ep, then i will watch the rest of it - but im kinda sceptical of it so far

i'm definitely not one to like shounen at all, and i found the first episode wholly fun. repetitiveness and being 'too episodic' will kill it quickly.

The first 3 are introductory episodes with each one devoted to one of the main teams. You might want to give it a bit more time episode wise to kick in before making a decision. This is after all a 51 episode series.
