Should people born 1970 and later even be allowed to watch and comment on anime? Razz

Why you little whippersnapper! *shakes cane*

The problem with not allowing people born before 1970 to comment on anime is that the only people who post on forums are oldbies like me or kiddiots too clueless and uncool to realize that message boards are so yesteryear. Wink

Uh, you interpreted what I wrote incorrectly. I was (facetiously) suggesting that Anime be rated age 55+. Cool

And you kids get off my lawn Exclamation

I was born the day of the Great Yokohama Air Raid. Japanese American relations have improved somewhat since then.

Now then, whose lawn should be vacated?? Laughing

Today may be a day of decision for two shows I'm wavering on: I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class and Sorairo Utility. It'll be the 4th episode for each show and depending how I feel about them, they will either be the last episodes of these titles I ever watch or perhaps the titles will survive to see another day. If I do drop one or both, it won't be because they are bad shows. In the case of Married, it would be because I don't find it funny enough and if I sense each episode is just going to be a series of mini-episodes that don't amount to much story-wise. With SU it will be because I just can't with the golf stuff. We'll see. I may have an extra 50-ish minutes a week to watch porn do something productive!

Welcome to Anime Field Marshal Blood-'s Super Timely Mid-term Winter 2025 report card!

*grips marshal's baton firmly under arm and clicks heels together smartly*

Last time I checked in I was following 29 titles. That list has been minorly pruned down to 25. But here is my top line observation now that we are halfway through the season: I'M HAVING A TON OF FUN!!! Dayum, what an enjoyable season it's turning out for me.

Out of the 25 shows, there is only one (Honey Lemon Soda) that still isn't 100% out of the woods. Having said that, I expect it will show up in my Final Report card.

Since my first report, I axed five titles (Flower and Asura, I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in my Class, I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!?, Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms and Sorairo Utility). I added a solid pick-up, Farmagia, for a net loss of 4 shows.

The Hard Core: (shows that are making my toes curl in delight)

Dr. Stone: Science Future
From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated!
(The) Apothecary Diaries
I May Be a Guild Receptionist
Medalist
Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
Sakamoto Days
Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun
(The) Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World
ZENSHU.

Solid:

My Happy Marriage
Ishura
Tasokare Hotel
Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf
Farmagia
Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-
Shangri-La Frontier

Yeah, I'm Slummin' a Bit, So Sue Me:

Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!
Grisaia: Phantom Trigger the Animation
Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective
Honey Lemon Soda
(The) Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World
Momentary Lily
Übel Blatt

That is a rather chunky list for you Blood and you are not that much lower than me numbers wise which surprises me a bit. I do agree that the season is a good one with lots of quality and even most of the cooky cutter stuff has something to offer. I do have to confess that Fruitmaster was just too boring for me, it seems my isekai addiction does have its limits.

Yeah, if I'm at 25 when I'm supposedly being "picky" these days imagine what the total would be under the old Blood-... 108, maybe? In any case, even with 25 I'm maintaining my vow not to plow on with anything that is a chore to watch or severely irritating me in some way. Progress?

All of those shows have too many kawaii girls to be dropped (OK, despite that I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? is very borderline and will likely end up being rated So-so).

i didn't realize people were still posting on this thread until I glanced up the forum list.

Anyway, I'm always willing to list out the anime I'm liking. I'm currently at 19 anime, but I keep telling myself I'm going to try Medalist one of these days and give Honey Lemon Soda another chance..

Blue Box
Solo Leveling
Apothecary Diaries
Ubel Blat
Zenshu

Flower and Asura
Tasokare Hotel
Daily Life of a Midlife Online Shopper etc.
Okitsura

Anime I'm Liking Just Fine
