Well, that's 3 episodes, and I may just have to put this one on hold and check in to see if people are saying things have changed later. I'd like the show more if it was darker...like if it was a fantasy princess version of Prison Break or something. But I'll be honest, the way I keep getting the feeling that I'm supposed to be laughing off or finding the enforced marriage thing charming keeps giving me the creeps. If I thought the family was going to get their comeuppence for basically auctioning off their daughter, or if the prince was going to kicked in the nuts by reality, it might be different. Or if both the MC and the prince were being forced into the marriage to ensure an alliance between two warring nations, and hundreds of thousands of lives were being saved, putting in some real moral ambiguity, I might find it interesting. As it is, I keep feeling like I'm supposed to be chuckling at that darned stubborn MC and her cute refusals to accept what's good for her, and I just want her to get back to her village and her life without el creepo hanging around. .

"I'm so glad we got this opportunity to have a conversation. G'night. <zzzzz>" Also, you had that opportunity on the farm before you kidnapped her, prick.
After the first ep, I was expecting the misinterpretation shoe to drop, except that she confirmed it at the time, and her brother agreed and the Prick didn't disagree. And if the engagement was still on, why did Purple girl have to start princess lessons? This all makes the whole situation seem like a weird kind of gaslighting, along with the psychological warfare since.
Also, how did this tree-climbing tomboy princess manage to fall on her butt from maybe a six inch drop? My grandmother could've landed that and she's been dead for years.
I'll give it one more episode to change my mind, since, so far, this has neither been fun nor serious enough to get me invested. Also too and besides, her excessive squeals of delight and dismay are really getting on my nerves.

The show has its charms - I get why Zfunk is interested in the fairy tale gone off track aspect, like when all the animals started chiming in and scolding the princess as if they were telling her that she was off script - but it's annoying me in slightly less than equal measure. There's literally no one else who I like except for the MC in this anime, and I find it frustrating watching her fumble though her escapes with no real plan about what comes 60 yards later, as if the writer thinks this is like some kind of inverse Road Runner cartoon where we watch scheme after scheme fall apart, only it's the story's good character who keeps failing. BTW - that's a bit of a muddled comparison from my standpoint. That cartoon was frustrating because I was always rooting for the coyote. He's just following his natural food chain demands.
The comparison is also a bit muddled because if the princess could send away for devices from the ACME corporation, I might pay more attention.
Anyway, I don't really like this Tower of London prisoner scenario.. I get why people might wait to see the prince start growing up or for the princess to start upping her game, or for the family to show something resembling regret or real love, and like I said, I'll check in about three or four episodes to see if the scales tipped in a believable or satisfying fashion.

The worst parts of this show is that it really feels like it romanticizing or at least making comedic some really creepy behaviour. At the very least Leticia is have negative reactions like nightmares from a guy who puts on a happy face as he kidnaps and tries various manipulation tactics to gaslight her into falling for him.
The only saving grace I can think of now is if the Queen turns out to be a voice of reason that can smack him on the head for being a total creep.
I am actually kind of baffled if things continue along this way how anyone could see this as cute instead of actually some sort of messed up fetish thing.

Actually the main character irritates me. She has no plans more involved than going home, fishing, climbing trees and having the family servants take care of her. These are all activities that she would have outgrown by 13 if she had been allowed to do them.

Yeah, Episode 4 was just awful. This has gotten worse with every episode. And the 4th wall breaking is out of control.

I dropped this midway through Episode 3. I don’t want to see a girl be forced away repeatedly from the life she really wants by an awful guy who ignores her protests and locks her up. Ew.

After last week I checked comments of I think the manga and confirmed that the expected complaints continue on further into the story. So, I have no intention in watching the 4th episode, which looks justified.

Yes, while details of course differ, Episode 4 is just more of the same abuse by Prince Clarke. Dropped my ranking to 2 Stars, which for me is barely watchable.

Welp, I said I would revisit the topic to check out on how things have turned out and it seems I was wrong about it being a healing show similar to Angler. Or maybe there will be eventual healing and they are just milking the suffering to make it more rewarding, either way it does not sound like something I need to revisit.

So who is that woman that Prince Clark was talking to, if you go by my past theory that this is secretly a next generation Cinderella story, than she is the fairy god mother.
If we Prince Clark refers to her as his god mother, than there is no doubt.

Any improvement in Episode 5? Trying to decide whether to finish or drop.

Well I don't know, if you looking for decent people, this is like Seinfeld the anime.

Well, I watched Episode 5 and it was much better in no creepy behavior towards Leticia by Prince Clarke (but her brother clothes-lining her was out of order), and while Prince Louis is an obnoxious brat, at least he makes things interesting.
Rating up from last week to 2.5 stars.

I keep trying to describe this anime, and I think I got it. It is if Mel Brooks or ZAZ made a anime that parodies fairy tales.
I to think the main plot is parody Beauty and the Beast with the leading lady is the prisoner of the leading man but you are suppose to not hate him and root for them anyway. And any other fairy tales that gets mention is around it.
I would not be surprised if last episode we find out when she brakes the fourth wall that the other characters knew about it and she was just talking to her self and being in own world.
And maybe because of the middle ages setting, this does have a Robin Hood: Men In Tights feel.
