So are there any plan for a North American/US release for this manga reader? Will the US/North American version beside including manga, will it include comic/graphic novels from US publishers like DC, Marvel, IDW, etc...?
Man, seeing Switch getting a manga reader service takes me back to when the PSP/Playstation Portable used to have digital comic until the service was shut down in 2012, and yes the PSP also has manga too only for Japan AFAIK. I recalled and have fond memories of reading Seven Seas Entertainment's OEL manga on the PSP (I believe I have a old ANN press release on this. Oh by the way, the downloadable OEL manga on PSP from Seven Seas did sort of really well). So seeing Switch possibly getting a manga reader kind of brings back memories of the reading comic and manga on PSP in late 2000's. |

Don't sweat it. It went so under the radar almost no one noticed. Izneo was primarily a french digital manga service and as of like two years ago they completely pivoted to webtoons (in French)... |

Wait, so you're telling me that Izneo used to had manga, but then they went to webtoons/manhwa, why is that? Why would they stop making manga available and switch to Korean stuff? ![]() |

Izneo was acquired by media participation group a few years ago and they definitely moved izneo's platform in a new direction. They withdrew from all non french markets. They still have manga but they started a new app service called ono which focuses more on webtoon style content (not all of it is Korean, there are lots of Chinese but also French webtoon style comics as well) and chapter reading to a younger audience. |
