Well Wikipedia has a explanation on that. It's being hyped up by cryptocurrencies whackos (I'm not a fan of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies) and I'm a bit skeptic of this Web3 because it doesn't look like it'll promise anything to me or have any appeal to me at all. |

"Web3" basically means straining to create scarcity out of inherently un-scarce digital media.
