I couldn't get past the first omnibus of the manga, it's gore and depressing darkness is not my cup of tea. I will watch this to see what I missed, at least a few episodes worth.

I guess with anime being more mainstream now Amazon is hopping back on exclusive licensing shows again, curious to see if it’ll work out for them this time.

Animation wise it looks above average overall, I like the art style though. Looking at the studios.... hopefully it could stay somewhat consistent and be more like I Parry Everything instead of Failure Frame from last season production wise.

I fully recognize that it's pure dark edgelord fantasy, but I bought the whole manga run and enjoyed it at the time. Whether that's still the case, who knows? I'll give it a shot, but I could just as easily find myself content leaving it to the printed page (which also has the benefit of not having to deal with Prime's terrible ad breaks :queues up today's Magilumiere episode and sighs:).
