This was already somewhat known but now we have confirmation, i can't wait to know if it will have an integrated Ethernet port, the Wi-Fi Card spec and if the input lag will actually be higher in wired than wireless with a controller like the current switch (as an old Sheik main since Melee it's frustrating to be only able to enjoy playing my real main in LAN because of network/lag input issue in Ultimate).

It needs better bluetooth antenas, I don't know if it was a combination of the reception, or the transmission of bluetooth signals, but I found both the joycons AND wireless controllers to be frustrating.

To me, backwards compatibility is a big selling point, especially at launch. It's common for new consoles to come out have few, if any, games that are system sellers, so being able to retire a console but still play the older games means less reason to wait on it. Plus, backwards compatibility means you aren't reliant on that older system that may give out one day to keep playing games, and things like being able to swap it out instead of having to make room for it by the tv and/or tv inputs is also nice.

I suspected as much. They have been releasing so many Switch games, even though we are very close to the console's official announcement. It would be corporate suicide not to.

Probably the least-surprising news of all. If Nintendo wants this new thing to sell, they're not about to say "Sorry, you can't play that anymore" to the tens of millions of people who own MK8 and BotW.

Kinda funny about that - that exact pair were the WiiU games (well, MK8DX was extended revamped version and BOTW was a launch date game for Switch at its release, but still) for which Switch not had any BC - so the people who owned WiiU and went to buy Switch were in need to buy this games twice (and we're talking about the games that sold at least more than a couple millions even on WiiU), along with a lot of former WiiU "exclusives" - but that not made Switch any less successful Laughing

But yeah, access to BC was really the least surprising news after it been talked for a while and Ninty want to keep the momentum going with pretty safe bet and massive game library, especially when all other competitors on market also have the same functionality with at least previous generation.

I would presume so. Every previous system with backwards compatibility was able to take physical media.
