I genuinely did not know she was a married mother of three.

It's nice to see Saito-san doesn't begrudge being an older vet who gets more supporting roles and is happy to mentor the next generation. And she still kills it every time she performs a role, be it an older or newer character.

I think I saw a clip from an anime somewhere where a rookie seiyuu made a mistake and talked into the wrong mic.

Ha, the anime "Paw Patrol."

So I see even seiyuu in Japan have to deal with wanting their kids to be into their characters on their favorite cartoons. Bumblebee strikes again!

The thing about her kids wanting Bumblebee was cute. That guy seems to just be eternally popular, huh?

I know I’d be super stressed in the booth if one of my senpai clicked their tongue at me, lol. I guess it worked though.

This is probably the first time the Japanese actually like a Transformers series from the USA more than the USA does. Or maybe that's just because the USA release doesnt have much visible feedback.

Yeee, he's the closest to a shounen protagonist Transformers has, even with the Michael Bay movies making him a mute, it didn't dull that aspect much at all, just made him more of a mascot instead of a protagonist. He was even voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch in some of the video games!

Doesn't some of this pattern also come down to younger VAs having cheaper pay rates in the system, and in the case of young female VAs, more "marketability" for obsessive big spenders? Though it's not surprising that Saito would offer a more diplomatic response.

"People who have a lot of experience will play supporting roles so that we can support each other and the younger actors. Now that I'm older, I'm happy I can play these roles and support others."

As far as I know, the only exceptions to that rule are the recent Cardcatpror Sakura and Ranma 1/2 reboots, as well as the recent Dragon Ball installments. The original Dragon Ball anime is another notable exception since Masako Nozawa was near her 50s when she started voicing Goku.
