Please any company localized the LN ASAP, these weirdos were some of my biggest addictions this spring even though the production value was pretty low. I can't even say how many times I sang its catchy opening and ending during those 3 months.

This is one of those anime’s last season I ended up enjoying a lot more than I thought I would, the characters were just hilarious. I know the chances are low but I would love a S2.

Simply my favorite series from the spring season, more of it would be very welcome.

I went into this with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. Shows why it pays to sample even if you are dubious because of the premise/genre.

Coming off of A Sister's All You Need (top tier LN by the way, highly recommend), it's interesting to see how Hirasaka took the great character work he honed from working on that story, and applied it in a totally new way to create this wild comedy.

I wasn't sure what to make of it going in, but overall A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics really was a great series, and quite hilarious in a variety of unusual ways. I feel bad for all the people that probably overlooked it.
I guess that makes it what some would call a "hidden gem".

Glad to see this one got a review, as it was also a pleasant surprise for me this season. I found Sara to actually the be the more appreciable character despite Livia being involved in more overt weirdness, but all of the series' eccentricities were delights to some degree.

Boy, I missed that the same person behind this series also did A Sister's All You Need. In retrospect, there's a somewhat similar feel and sense of character dynamic between the two.

This was one of those series where I didn't know what was going to happen next, so refreshing. It was such a random, quirky and low key show with excellent voice work up and down the character list, just adequate animation but such wonderfully colorful characters it outshone over two thirds of all the Spring series and made it easily in my top 10 so far this year. A second season with these unique characters would be a blessing.

Really enjoyed this season and hope to see more. Personally, while it was funny, I didn't enjoy Livia's half as much by the end of the series as Sara's half. The growing father/daughter relationship really nailed it imo.

I absolutely loved this and had complete faith going in since it was from the author of Haganai / A Sister's All You Need. Definitely hoping for a second season.

This was a surprisingly fun series. My main criticism, other than low production values, would probably be the fact that the reverse Isekai aspect barely seems to matter but that's mostly just a nitpick since the characters themselves are a lot of fun.

The show was so pleasant to watch thanks to the quirky characters that I would not mind another couple of seasons. No matter what dumb shit Olivia was getting involved in or Sara being way too competent it was all a lot of fun. There was not a single character that I disliked.

The opening was also crazy addictive.

Definitely ended up liking this one more than I expected to at the start. Early on I found it really boring. The dynamic between Sara and Sousuke just wasn't cutting it for me. It felt like a weaker version of Hinamatsuri. Fortunately once Livia's side of the story took off in the third episode, the show finally engaged me.

Which was great because then Sara's side progressed past the mediocre introductory phase and became more interesting too. I began to enjoy the show as a whole. Swapping between Livia and Sara made it so neither overstayed their welcome and kept things fresh to the end.

Still, I give the slight nod to Livia's side for being gayer. Razz

This was one of the nicest surprises of the Spring season. It had zero fanfare and I had very low expectations for it, but it's actually a charming little show. Livia was one of the standout characters of the entire season.

I agree with Seegloom here. It's probably a bit unfair, but it had too many elements in common to ignore, and Salad Bowl just isn't as good.

Of course, Hinamatsuri was a great show, so failing to reach that level leaves a lot of territory. Salad Bowl was pretty good, I thought. A 7 out of ten for me instead of Hinamatsuri's 9 out of 10. The quality of animation was part of it, but generally good writing and characters outstrips animation for me. I certainly can understand why other people like it more, though. But it won't be one of the shows I particularly remember from this season.
