On one hand, the fact that they'll have to cover so many chapters in three movies guarantees that the next arc won't be as horribly paced as the Hashira training arc was in the anime.
On the other hand, knowing I'll have to spend at least four more years dodging manga spoilers is very disheartening. I already expected the final battle to be adapted as a movie because Aniplex will definitely want to try replicating Mugen Train's massive, unprecedented success, but I hoped the lead-up to it would be done as two TV seasons instead.

YEESH! I thought dragging out a 8 chapter training arc was bad, but this is a whole other level of greed

I had heard the rumors but I guess I'm not surprised how hard they're milking this franchise yet I feel like the West is going to be hit hardest by this depending on how long it takes for the movies to be streaming...until they stream the movies cut into TV seasons I guess.

Mugen Train released 8 months after the Japanese release in North America. I think Indonesia, China and France got it earlier.

that was for mugen, when yaiba was yet to be the astronomical success that it is.
after mugen, all the special theatrical releases they made, were out in most of the world the same time they were for japan.
sure, there is a chance it will be like mugen again, but I HIGHLY doubt it.

I am unsure that a major film will get the same treatment as special release previews. Especially since the licensor will probably want a dubbed release for cinema. Did the specials have dubbed versions?

yes they had dub. they will just prepare a dub beforehand.
I refuse to believe the publishers will miss this insane opportunity and damage momentum by releasing the movies very late to the rest of the world.
this trilogy is going to be a money printer and it would be a horrible mistake not to release the movie in as many countries as they can at the same time.

Even if you hate Demon Slayer, you gotta be pretty dumb if you think that milk is gonna dry anytime soon.

I'm very much looking forward to these movies. Excellent final episode, excellent animation, excellent buildup, and overall shonen perfection. Can't remember being quite as excited for an anime movie in a long time.
My only gripe will be if it doesn't release across the world simultaneously. It's extra annoying to wait while in certain places it's already out.

You keep saying this without including the context that Mugen Train released in late 2020, after the pandemic wrecked most productions. It was there for months because it had virtually no competition.

Gundam Seed Freedom ran for like 4 - 5 months and that is nowhere near as big as Demon Slayer and that was this year.
Demon Slayer will run longer guaranteed.

Oh, whoops! Between the way episode 7 ended and episode 8 being 3 hours late I really thought there wasn't an episode on 6/30. I really need to get more sleep on my days off...
Apologies.
