The original only showed breasts. There was also an old man who stole bras and tried to hug Ranma's breasts.

Pretty sure they stopped showing nipples after the first season. Strategic animating, steam or god rays (please no) will make this show a little more palatable for certain demos. I don't expect this to be uncensored in any way.

Honestly that’s not even the worse trope this series had despite how dated and doubled standard it is.

It commits the sin of having a premise that encompasses the entire series with ZERO payoff in addition to throwing in superfluous fakeouts.

Akane’s not going wind up with Ryoga or Tatewaki

Ranma’s not going wind up with Ukyo, Shampoo, Kodachi, Tatewaki, or Nabiki

Always felt this was pretty much a foregone conclusion to happen eventually after Urusei Yatsura.

Surprised it's not Mao, given it's the fifth anniversary of the manga.

I really was hoping it was going after Urusei Yatsura.

If its MPPAA, that's good, I guess. I was really hoping David Productions would pick up Part 7 of Jojo's after UY.

To be fair, unlike most anime like that, Ranma kind of asks for it. Sometimes literally.

Also, if Hayashibara's not voicing female Ranma, I'm out.

Hayashibara is nearing her late 50s, and it shows.

Not saying she couldn't reprise her role, or Yamaguchi for that matter, but I think they may want young seiyu who will be able to be Ranma for years to come, including commercials.

I recall the second film being quite raunchy. The most sexualised moment I recall ever seeing, was in the last OVA, where Ranma lifts her top up and a pair of G-cups come bouncing out.

Bring Megumi Hayashibara back immediately.

Considering how she sounds barely any different from the original series, I could see it, same with Kappei Yamaguchi, Kikuko Inoue, Noriko Hidaka, Minami Takayama, and Koichi Yamadera.

Gonna be interesting how they do this because there was so much they didn't adapt.

My first reaction was, "Cool, a new anime adaptation to cut the filler and make going through the story require a much shorter time investment."

You'll have to forgive me -- it took me a few moments to recall just what, exactly, the manga was like.

Oh well.

Here's hoping it's as good as the Urusei Yatsura remake.
