I cannot believe this game is getting a Nintendo Switch release/port but still not getting an English dub...

One Piece games have been sub-only, since Unlimited Cruise came out on the Wii. Why would you expect them to suddenly start providing English dubs now. It might not even be logistically feasible.

Another late port for the Switch of a Bandai-Namco anime game that some people claimed it couldn't run on the console, just like what happened with Jump Force, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Ball Kakarot and, while not an anime game, Ace Combat 7. Kind of amazed that Bandai Namco didn't bother porting games like Tales of Arise or Tekken 7 to the Switch, though I suppose those would be very difficult. While I understand that downporting games to the Switch is a difficult process, I think some developers should work closer with other studios to outsource some Switch ports that could arrive at the same time or at least just some months after the games release on the major consoles. Doom Eternal and Hogwart's Legacy are good examples, Switch users didn't have to wait more that a year and a half. It wouldn't surprise me that, despite the Switch's successor rumors, we'll see some late ports of games like Persona 3 Reload on the regular Switch.
Now people are saying the Switch 2 will have better third-party support, but I think it'll be the same as the original Switch.

I think the reason people are banking on the next Switch getting more 3rd party games is because Nintendo of America just recently hired Gio Corsi who used to work at Sony Playstation as 3rd party relations. He helped bring over Yakuza 5 with the whole "Building the List" campaign.

Don’t know why it’s not exactly a graphic intense game.

Edit: no one will ever know Razz

Yeah, I've seen the news, but if Gio Corsi was hired just recently I don't think we'll see any news about some big third-party games arriving on Nintendo's next console until some time after the console gets announce or perhaps after its first months on the market. I've been reading comments everywhere claiming that third-party developers will give the Switch 2 a better support compared to the Switch but I still have my doubts. I can imagine that the Switch 2 will see some titles from Bandai-Namco like Elden Ring and Tekken 8, I'm sure Capcom will port all the modern Resident Evil games and Street Fighter 6.
While I've never heard about the Building the List campaing, I don't know if Gio Corsi will be able to bring the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games to Nintendo's next console that easily, it seems that after the ports of some Yakuza games on WiiU bombed at reatail the series creator, Toshihiro Nagoshi, decided not to give Nintendo any of their games, and while he is not longer at SEGA it seems like the rest of the Yakuza team thinks the same way, I think before leaving SEGA Nagoshi was asked about the Switch's huge success in Japan and why there wasn't a Yakuza game on the system and he answered that the Yakuza series is not suitable for the Switch since it is a day-time console mainly played by kids and families and that the Yakuza series is meant for to be played on more night-time consoles.by mature players.

Odyssey looks nice for an anime game, but yeah, if some developers were able to port games like The Witcher 3, NieR: Automata, Doom Eternal and some others into the Switch, then I don't know why so many people in different forums were convinced that Bandai was going to port it to the Switch 2. At this point I wouldn't be surpised if Persona 3 Reload will get ported to the Switch next year.

That argument would've made sense a couple of years ago when the dub was still WAY behind on the sub broadcast, but in the span of about 4 years, the dub went from being roughly 350 episodes behind the sub (the dub stopped for 2 years in 2018, then continued in 2020 at the start of Fishman Island while the sub had already started on Wano) to now just about to wrap up Wano and are now only less than 30 episodes behind the sub, almost fully caught up.

I think it would be cool for this game or any future One Piece games get the option for an English dub.

I was thinking more along the lines of the logistics of getting together all the VAs needed for the dub. Namco Bandai would likely end up using an LA studio, and even if they could do remote recording, it's still many people from all other the place. I don't know about this game, but all the games I've played have featured a ton of characters, and not just one from recent seasons.

I realise that they do this for other Funimation titles, like My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball, but the cast of characters is nowhere as big. The only other reason I can possibly think of, is that they don't think the extra sales generated from the inclusion of an English dub, would offset the cost.
