Well, this has some potential for sure. I'm getting a lot of Garo S2 vibes here (not a bad thing at all for me, even though I know a lot of people didn't like that series). Hopefully this will be good.

As cool as it is to see non-light novels getting anime, especially a series as influential as Onmyouji, it's hard to get past how much the visuals on display here pale in comparison to Okano Reiko's manga adaptation, not just in terms of detail, but in terms of atmosphere.

For a Soubi Yamamoto directed works, this looks oddly subdued both in color and style compared to her other works.
