Wow! Never expected Frieren to appear so high. I hope it keeps up

Extremely happy to see Frieren do so well, really didn't expect it considering it's a very slow and contemplative show. Fully deserved for one of the most stunningly beautiful and poetic premieres of recent memory.

Can we actually get real fantasy settings instead of isekai garbage in anime now that Frieren hit as big as it did? Dungeon Meshi´s anime will also explode if trailer views on social media are an indication. Animation is perfect for the genre yet we have been fed almost exclusively with teen power fantasy fast food or full-on trash for a decade.

Careful with what you ask for.
The "Expelled from the hero party" thing it's getting traction, and it has all the garbage isekai tropes but without the isekai part.
There are exceptions of course, but isekai also have them.

Yeah - it's basically at Otaku-O-Clock (9:00 PM - IIRC the late night time slots start at 10:00, so it would have run into those time slots), and even then it almost tied with Detective Conan. Hopefully, it continues to do well.

This is a primetime film slot on that channel which is why Frieren is so high. It will probably still do well, but it'll move towards the bottom of this rank - if it ranks at all on live - starting next week on its regular timeslot.

I’m surprised no one is bringing up the Fitefighter anime, which is arguably more impressive since it had less people hyping it up.
