In an industry that is largely risk avoidant & likes to rely on adaptations of existing properties, Maruyama-san greenlighting a pair of wholly original anime projects like Girls Und Panzer & Princess Principal took guts & the fact that they both turned into big hits speaks to his sense of vision. He will be missed.
