Well, without enough manga content for a proper S2, I guess Aniplex and Fuji TV will just keep milking the series for as long as possible.

Though I'm happy this is starting to become Wit's next big flagship title after AOT.

So RoK is a straight-up franchise now, huh?

I'm glad to see it, as it's an excellent series. Though that does put a lot of pressure on the mangaka.

Hmmm... I still have to check out Season 2 (waited to binge it). I recall there were some leaks from somewhere that Ranking of Kings was getting a film, and apparently they also said that Chainsaw-Man was getting a film and a season 2, and Mushoku Tensei was getting a split season of 20+ episodes. Hopefully with this news, the other rumors are also true!

I thought Wit's new big franchise would be Kizuna no Allele Laughing

My question is how long can Ranking of Kings sustain itself as a franchise? The webcomic only has 4 volumes unadapted and has been on indefinite hiatus since April. They already did an entire season of just side stories.

Like I'm glad it's getting so much, but it definitely can't get as big as AoT
