Huh. Seems like Xbox is trying to leverage Atlus to counter Square-Enix having FF16 Sony exclusive (for now at least.) Hate it, but it makes a degree of sense. As for the games themselves:
P3 Reload is probably the one I'm least interested in. I'd say this game needed another revisit less than FF7- imo its aged pretty well. And while there are points that could use a touch up, I don't think it needed a full scale remake. Still, it was a good game, and I expect it will be pretty good in this new iteration. P5 Tactics is more interesting...even if its yet another game with the same cast of characters. I love a good SRPG, so maybe this will fill that niche. Or not- I don't really care for the aesthetic. Still, if its mechanically and narratively sound, I'll readily forgive the looks not being to my taste. Metaphor: ReFantazio is what it has been since its inception several years ago: an interesting idea without much concrete information. I like the art style, it seems to have a class system...it could be the most interesting of the 3. But its right up there with GranBlue ReLink in my head: I don't believe they exist until they're actually out. |
