I'm eagerly waiting for the premiere, read the manga so long that I don't remember how things went so it will be like not knowing what will happen

So I take it Disney learned their lesson and this time they will actually simulcast this “worldwide” for real this time instead of 5 countries.

Looking like a strong follow up to the first cour. So much style, action, and even new material. Shinji's Bankai!

I didn't expect Nao Toyama as Giselle though. I get why they cast Aoi Yuki as who they did, but I would've pegged her for Giselle.

I feel like I shouldn't be surprised at CG Kokujo tengen myoo.

The anime's second cours (quarter of the year) will premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates (as well as on other venues) on July 8 at 11:00 p.m. (10:00 a.m. EDT).

I wonder why it is at 11 pm instead of 12 am like Part 1. I don't need a 7 year old staying up late at night and their parent walks in on them seeing a gruesome scene then get illogically triggered that the station could be airing such a thing at 11:00 pm when their child such be asleep followed by reporting it to that "group" again.

Why do people care about this again? I remember back when the manga was coming out, most websites’ comment sections revolved around who was going to show off their bankai next. No one was talking about the actual plot. It’s pretty telling of the storytelling quality that people didn’t care about any of what should actually matter in a story and only wanted to see characters bust out cool powers.

I partially blame Bleach for the degradation in quality of the modern shonen battle manga, because it’s clear many jump series have been inspired by it unfortunately. Shonen battle series used to be about young characters emotionally and mentally coming of age, of dealing with loss, becoming a better version of yourself, and understanding the human condition, and many other themes that related to real world experiences.

Bleach ushered in an era of meaningless battle crazy shonen where fights were not meant to be a vehicle to convey themes or develop characters, but just for the sake of being cool and hype.

Cool story. Anyway, more Bleach let's go!

If the current release trend continues, we should get the 3rd installment in Winter 2024.

Unless they majorly change things, the second invasion is absolutely not anime of the year material.

Remember when early Dragon Ball had many story beats that heavily focused on the acquisition of Bulma's panties?
